Loft Playa Los Venados #2

The is my 2nd time staying here. We love the seclusion, and that you can always hear the waves while in bed. The beach is usually not crowded, sometimes no one at all on it.

There’s a lot of wear on the house from age, and it could use some repairs

Fantastic location

The musty, damp smell was really intense inside the loft.

The location is stunning, right on a secluded beach. Very quiet.

1. Room Downgrade Without Notice: Upon arrival, there was no staff available—only the cleaning lady—leaving us to figure things out ourselves. Due to a property mistake, we were placed in the wrong room and had to move all our belongings (clothes, food, etc.) 3 hours after check in time, wasting valuable time. We have never experienced being downgraded due to a property’s error, and this was incredibly frustrating. 2. Poor Room Conditions: • Hot Water Issue: The hot water lasted only about 1.5 minutes, making it impossible to take a proper shower. • Moldy Bed: The bed had a strong moldy and damp smell, which made sleeping uncomfortable and raised hygiene concerns.

The location and view were outstanding. There was lots of space and it was well appointed and very private. The patio was a wonderful place to relax and the beach was beautiful.

We booked 5 nights and only got 2! When we arrived in town and inquired about how to get the key to Los Venados, we were informed that we had no reservation. Fortunately we had brought a hardcopy of our reservation (confirmed by Booking.com) to prove that we'd made a reservation for 5 nights, but were simply told that we weren't in the proprietor's 'system' so we were out of luck. Never found out who was at fault. After arguing with the proprietor, she agreed to provide us 2 nights at loft #1 (above Loft 2 and a beautiful place), but we were being offered the remaining 3 nights at her hostel in town (not a beautiful place). Since the hostel in town wasn't of similar quality to what we'd booked, we went elsewhere for the remaining 3 nights. It was stressful finding a good place to stay at the last minute during high season.

Location next to ocean is amazing

Check in was a night mare came after sunset, its end of a dark road very hard turn and luckily the neighbors allowed us to use their WiFi to get in touch with someone who came and let us in and once they very helpful. The biggest issue is the ungodly amount of mosquitoes in the house through the various crack and throughout the place. We loved the location b it the bugs made it very hard to enjoy the night.

The property was exceptional. The location is as dreamy as one could imagine. U truly could spend your entire vacation never leaving your private beach and home. Good as it gets. The owner and family greeted us and were so nice and accommodating. 10+ stars!!!
