A pleasant stay for a family when visiting East London.

The absolute norm for me with Bookings is that the price you see is the price you pay. This was a first and hopefully, last such occasion where when booking in a Breakage Deposit was required after payment on the website and before being able to gain access. This is unexpected and a nuisance as I wasn't there and had to scramble to quickly sort this out on a Saturday afternoon. I was later required to provide banking information for the Breakage Deposit to be refunded to me. This situation definitely disrupts the usual easy flow of using the Bookings service instead of an agent who would see to such things. Not amazing, officious is perhaps a clear description of the manner in which this was handled. Sadly, and no fault of the establishment at all, the ocean in Gonubie and in East London are polluted with sewage thus not fit for swimming - how third world is that

The location was perfect. Everything was just what we expected it to be. The room was perfect and everything in the room was above expectation. This was the second time we stayed at Benri B&B but not the last time.

The rooms are okay just a bit small.

The facility was extremely noisy from 3 am in the morning. Guests playing radio in the next room.

The Aircon did not work, the bath tap leaked, and the management was very rude and invasive
