Bill's Barns, Apartment 1

It’s obvious that much thought and care has been put into this property. This is a renovated barn on a family owned farm and is just beautiful with wonderful views and a very nice patio area which would be idyllic in warm weather. Immaculately clean and fully equipped, it is also handicap-friendly with a roll in shower. Radiator heat and also a wood stove with a days’s worth of wood supplied. Geraldine reached out to us to let us know she was available for any questions. The fridge was stocked for the first morning with milk, orange juice, butter and preserves and a home made loaf was waiting for us on the countertop. Just an observation, not a complaint; due to the fact that it’s a former stone barn, it took a little time to warm up. We were here in mid-December and came prepared with the right clothes. The fire was very welcome.

Beautiful apartment .Spotlessly clean and very well equipped.Gorgeous views across the valley and to the mountains . Comfortable and homely....the homemade pear scones were a lovely touch.

Just a suggestion .....it would be an idea to put another mirror behind the door in the bedroom that could be used for the hairdryer...the present mirror is located too far from the bedside plug .

Tv was too high up to watch properly

Beautifully refurbished, tasteful and efficient. Lovely outlook to hills from terrace. Everything new and spotless.

It was perfect on every way.

Clean, comfortable. Beautiful views from apartment. Good amenities. Wonderful fireplace. Lots of TV channels to choose from.

Issue with hot water - no hot water for 24 hrs. It was fixed whilst we were there but this wasted our time. We were only there for 3 nights. Out of landlords control and arranged a plumber to fix, but no good for us after our walk on the mountain in the rain and cold. If you pay premium and don't get a premium experience, something should be done as an apology, more than saying 'sorry'. Difficult to find. Instructions could be clearer. Consider what3words location or GPS coordinates. TV is high up on the wall in living room. Get neck ache from looking up.

From the moment I arrived I was more than pleased with the accommodation. The host left me some brown bread with a few essentials, which was a lovely touch. The apartment was clean and had everything you could need. I was delighted with this apartment and the wonderful views surrounding it.

The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the check in time of 4pm. In my experience 95% of places are a check in time of 3pm. However, it's a very small thing when compared to how much I enjoyed my stay.

Fantastic views from the property and nice location just outside Kenmare to explore Kerry and Cork. Lovely wood fire stove . Can be booked as individual apartment or along with the adjoining larger apartment so great for solo travelers, couples and families.
