het verblijf was voortreffelijk! super luxe. alles was aanwezig. wij hebben zeker genoten vooral van de jaccuzi.

The host was very helpful and responsive. Whenever we ran out of household essentials, he would deliver them within minutes. I also recommend renting a car for at least a few days—it would be a shame to visit Crete without seeing all its beautiful places, and the host can help you get a discount.

This isn’t about the property itself, but you should know the pros and cons of this location: it’s very quiet and peaceful, but it’s 7 km from Rethymno’s old town center (about a €15 taxi ride) and a 30-minute walk to a large grocery store. Overall, it was good for us.

Everything was great at Isla Apartment, very spacious rooms and living room. The apartment has everything you need to live there. It is a very welcoming and comfortable place. Everything is superlative here. Nearby you have many shops and restaurants, if one day you don't feel like going to the old town.Also, a few beaches. Stamatis is very friendly person and helpful. I really recommend this place.

I think that on the cleaning side should be insisted, such as cleaning the floor better.

Lovely villa, worked perfectly for our family. We loved the outdoor space and nicely decorated villa. Great having own pool with bbq and large fridge as well as 3 bedrooms each with own bathroom

Location not that great, further from town than we expected, but easy to get around and explore via taxi, bus or car hire, so was fine. Could have done with a few more glasses and plates etc in the villa rather than just 6 of each, but we managed as has dishwasher and washing machine which was very useful! Host was very accommodating and helpful whenever we needed anything

A Truly Beautiful Stay! The highlight of this property is undoubtedly the private pool and outdoor area. The pool stays pleasantly warm throughout the day, offering a refreshing respite during the hotter hours, and there are numerous shaded spots perfect for lounging and relaxation. The outdoor area is designed with walls and glass shades, ensuring a high level of privacy without creating a closed-in feeling. Both indoor and outdoor lighting contribute to an ambiance of absolute tranquility and peace. The designers have done an exceptional job, creating a beautiful atmosphere at any time of day, particularly enchanting in the late evening. The bedrooms are incredibly spacious and cool, each with direct access to the outdoors, enhancing the sense of openness and comfort. The bathrooms are decorated to a high standard, and the showers are among the best I've ever experienced. The hosts are wonderfully attentive, located just on the other side of the building. They are available at all reasonable hours during the day (I noticed them still working at 8 PM) and made it clear that we could easily reach out if we needed anything. In terms of location, there are three supermarkets within 200 meters, all within easy walking distance and offering fair prices without the typical 'tourist' mark-up. In fact, many items were cheaper than at the local Lidl. Additionally, there is a fantastic restaurant less than 100 meters away, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner from early morning until late at night. Despite our desire to explore other dining options, we found ourselves eating there frequently due to its convenience—four breakfasts, a lunch, and a dinner. The beach is also a short walk away, though finding the pathway can be a bit tricky. It's located between the two hotels opposite this apartment, but once discovered, it's an easy trip.

While there was nothing I specifically disliked, I do have a few suggestions for potential improvements. Please note, these are minor and intended to be constructive, as our overall experience was wonderful. In the bathrooms, only one roll of toilet paper was provided per bathroom. It would be beneficial to have some spare rolls available somewhere on the property. Additionally, there were no sponges, scrubbers, or other cleaning products provided for washing up. Although there are cleaners who come round and a dishwasher is available, we faced a challenge cleaning up after ourselves, particularly with a messy 3-year-old! We managed to buy everything we needed from the local supermarket for less than 5 euros, but having these supplies on hand would be a nice touch. Moreover, I would suggest offering an option to install safety fencing around the pool. Our 3-year-old initially tried to get into the pool alone, requiring constant supervision. He quickly learned not to go near it without an adult, but families with slightly younger children might appreciate the option of temporary safety fencing with a gate, even if it might affect the aesthetics slightly. The BBQ was fantastic but was slightly dirty upon our arrival and needed a quick scrub. As anyone who owns a BBQ knows, it's challenging to keep it spotless, but a quick run through the dishwasher would have sufficed. Lastly, the tap on the outdoor shower (which is a great idea, by the way!) was a bit difficult to turn on and off with wet hands. My wife had to call me over to help with it a few times.
