Lovely cottage in a quiet location. Very clean and lovely design details.

As the last review mentioned, this is a lovely cottage but needs a few issues seen to to make it 5* 1. The front door has a huge gap underneath and the leaves were blowing in. 2. We weren’t sure where we were allowed to go outside. Maybe put something in the guide book so weren’t trespassing on a neighbours land. 3. Towels provided were minute. 4. The Wi-Fi code was incorrect so we had to contact the owner. 5. Heating wasn’t working and the owners weren’t helpful when contacted. 6. No dressing table stool or chair in the upstairs bedroom. 7. Hooks on door would be good. 8. The wet room needs a shower screen. It’s just a few teething problems really but would stay again 😊

New, modern, clean, decor, layout

Because it is new it is not 100% finished. The front door needs sorting in my view. The lock is poor, you can’t lock yourself in or put latch down. There is no door handle or door pull. There is no curtain or blind on the glazed part of the door. The gap underneath the door is too large. There are no outside bins to decant rubbish into. The wet room would benefit from a shower screen and soap holders on wall to finish it off. ……but very nice !

The windows were very dirty. Floor needed plaster splats removing. Handles weren’t attached in a few of the draws in bedroom. There was only 1 pillow on each single bed. Large gap under front door. Wine glasses in cupboard were filthy but with fingerprints not lip marks (like the builders had put them away) Extractor in upstairs bathroom was dirty and dripped after it had been on a while (I think it stays on too long) Basin in downstairs on suite splashes water at you due to shape. Having said all the above these are meant as helpful criticism as we were clearly the first in and I fully understand everywhere has snag lists. We were very grateful to book it after a last minute disaster with air b&b left me without a holiday with 36 hours notice!

Lack of decent internet access (advertised as with internet…). Line extremely volatile and slow, random disconnections…
