Luxury 1 bedroom flat with balcony - St Anne's

First impression is fine until you try to park then the nightmares begin. Drove round for hours to try and find promised parking that doesn’t exist.

Not professionally cleaned and owners personal belongings filled wardrobes and drawers. Flat is fine but not luxury. Car parking the main issue. If you don’t have a parking permit then forget it.

Had lift access and was all on one level. Viktor was very supportive.

When a property is lived in for the majority of the time and let at weekends/holidays, there is even more need to ensure any cleaning service makes the property spotless, particularly kitchens and bathrooms. This needed improvement with smeared surfaces and a domestic day to day, rather than 'guest ready' cleanliness. The tech in a property needs to work. It's pointless having a tv in a bedroom if it doesn't work/have access to anything for guests. A guest 'how to' book/manual would be helpful in the property and a fully developed and consistently delivered, day of occupancy 'how to gain entry etc' instruction message delivery would also need to be delivered post the owner's cleaner's visit on the day the booking starts, not an hour before guest arrival. There is no permit or allocated parking. This needs to be explicit in the online details of the property, with clear alternatives and costs, maps and photos made clear and available to prospective hirers. It's a big negative and may reduce interest, but it will at least be very clear rather than unstated.

Didn’t realise it was someone’s home. Felt a bit uncomfortable knowing there were personal belongings in there inc. car keys 😬 There was dirty washing in wash basket upon arrival, floors hadn’t been cleaned adequately and somebody else’s rubbish left in hallway for us to dispose of. Was more like an Air B&B which we wouldn’t normally choose. However, if you’re happy to stay in someone’s home, it’s a great little stay.

The check-in process was smooth and easy. The flat is spacious and the bed is great. I think the building and the flat are wheelchair accessible but I am not sure about the bathroom. The living room is very cozy and the TV is great. The bus stop is right in front of the flat.

There was no hot water when we arrived which stressed me out because we were in a rush for an event. I think previous guests had changed the settings. The host immediately responded to my messages and tried to help. It could be beneficial to have some instructions just in case this happens again. I think the towels need replacing as they were small and old. And it could have been nice if there was some hair conditioning.

The property was perfectly located for what I wanted. Some lovely restaurants and shops a few roads down. The apartment was very well equipped, and very comfortable. Victor was super efficient with communication and a pleasure to deal with. Would recommend

Spacious flat with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

We were staying for two nights & couldn't find anywhere close by that allowed us to park for more than 12 hours, so we ended up parking at Hove railway station. This was very close the the venue where our event was being held & about a 12 minute walk from the flat.
