Lodge Farm - Stunning 3 Bed with Large Garden!

The house was lovely and spacious, perfect for a group holiday. The owners were easy to contact and extremely helpful when we've accident left some items behind. We would go back in a heartbeat!

It's a bit of a shame, that the house is right next to a road...as the surrounding area is really beautiful and rural

Very spacious and lovely decorate and had everything that you would need for a lovely stay. We didn’t use the garden due to the weather so cannot comment. There is plenty of parking at the property. Good communication from the team. Property is ~£20 in a taxi to centre of Oxford which wasn’t too bad.

The master bedroom is closer to the road which can be noisy but didn’t bother us.

The house is gorgeous, loads of room for everyone the two main bedrooms are beautiful and the enclosed garden gave us peace of mind as we had two dogs with us

The property is in the countryside but right next to a busy road which because there are no paths or pavements made walking especially with dogs quite daunting. Although there are at least four televisions you can only watch TV apps

Lovely large house for a pre Christmas family gathering with 3 dogs. Particularly liked the enclosed garden( dog friendly ) and the feeling of space in the property - bedrooms were well appointed and comfortable and warm .

Kitchen utensils could have been better - more saucepans cooking trays and cleaning / dish cloths would have come in useful as would a microwave - quite surprised there wasn’t one.

Lovely stay for my colleagues for a few nights! They really enjoyed the property and wished to stay longer!

The proximity of the road meant there was a lot of traffice noise, especially when sitting outside.

This is a wonderfully funky house, nicely decorated and fitted out - my teens loved it. Comfy sofas to lounge in 4 TVs in different rooms so no arguing about what to watch. Free Wifi. The kitchen is large and airy, generally well equipped. The whole house is spacious and we could breathe and not be on top of each other. My dog also enjoyed pottering about in the secure garden. There is decent parking on a driveway. The location in terms of reaching Oxford and other parts of the Cotswolds are good - 10 minutes to Thrifthill park and ride, 25 minute drive into Oxford for dinner, 25 minute drive to Blenheim Palace (but see below).

Just a few small things to note: 1. Generally, the owners are very good with communications, but the timing of a request for a £200 damages deposit was sent after the cancellation date, and just a few days before we were due to stay. It was a bit of a shock. The request itself is not unreasonable but it was not mentioned in either the booking pages of "Booking.com" nor the first email that the owners sent straight after the booking was made. They did however apologise and said they had made a note of my feedback and would communicate this T&C earlier to clients in future. 2. There was no microwave, which seemed a little unusual. 3. If you have a baby/toddler, note, that whilst there are 3 large and lovely showers, there is no bath, and no baby bath available (although there is a high chair for feeding) so bathing young kids maybe something to think about. 4. The biggest issue, which the owners cannot do anything about, is the location - it is on a rural road, but it is clearly a commuter route, and the road traffic noise between 6-9am is VERY loud (another reviewer did mention this). So my advice is bring good ear plugs for the master bedroom especially, unless you are an early riser!
