GBLovely location in old part of the village. Nice garden. Parking for two cars. A safe haven from storm Darragh. Close proximity to Chester. Also close to nice local pub and village shop.
If there had been room in the kitchen for a dishwasher and to dine at a table. There is a small breakfast bar with two bar stools but I do understand there is no room for a table. Wouldn’t be a problem when warm enough to eat outside in the private garden.
GBThe location is great to visit Chester as there is an hourly bus that takes just 15 minutes and costs £2. The cottage is renovated to a high standard and is situated in a pretty village with a friendly pub and shop. We used the cottage as a base for Chester and Port Sunlight.
The welcome pack could do with an update on local attractions and local walks (e.g., walks along the canal, or around the village) and an updated bus timetable. This is more a note for other visitors than a dislike, but due to the cottage style of the property, the stairs to the bedrooms are quite steep and the bathroom is on the ground floor.
GBI absolutely loved this cottage it is so quaint and well maintained. The area of Christleton is one of the nicest villages just outside Chester. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
Nothing loved everything about it
IELovely house in a beautiful village, you also had the best of both worlds, Chester city down the road while u live in countryside. Local pub serves gourmet food in a lovely atmosphere.
1 minor complaint as myself and wife tea alcoholics, no teapot in kitchen.
GBGreat location for bewilderwood and the crocky trail. Cristleton is a lovely village and ivy cottage was a really nice place to stay . Comfy beds , nice decor and great bathroom . Lovely gifts on arrival.
The property had a breakfast bar with 2 stools but didn’t have a table for the 4 of us. It wasn’t a massive issue for us as a family but just a point to note if you want to have breakfast together.
