Villa Roberta

Our family had a fantastic stay here! At first, we had a bit of miscommunication, likely due to language barriers, but Roberta and Alessandro quickly resolved it. When Alessandro realised we didn't have a car and had arrived in a quiet village on a Monday, when most things were closed, he went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of that first night. We loved being away from the busy parts of Lake Como, enjoying the peaceful village of Olcio, yet still having easy access to Varenna (trains don't run after 9pm but this wasn't a problem for us). It's exactly why we chose to stay here and it definitely delivered. The fully equipped kitchen was a huge plus as well. The view from the balcony was simply unbeatable!! It was looking directly onto the stunning lake and definitely memorable.

While the property had many great features, one thing to keep in mind is its location near a road. We expected it to be quieter, but it did get busy and loud at times, even quite late into the night. However, the stunning view from the balcony and the peaceful village atmosphere of Olcio more than made up for it. It's just something to consider if you're particularly sensitive to noise.

Great communication with the owner, clear instructions on how to reach. Fantastic view of Lake Como from the balcony. Nice traditional village a few minutes walk from the train station.

It was a beautiful apartment in a small town, with good connections to other places with train. The staff was really nice and very accessible for all kinds of questions.

If you don’t have a car, you can be limited in your means of traveling as the trains back to Olcio aren’t available after 10pm.

One of the mattresses was a bit hard compared to the other rooms that were great :)
