Cosy 2-bed home - For Company contractor and Leisure stays - NEC, Airport, HS2, Contractors, Resort World

Pleasant terraced house. Good wifi. Everything was working. Specific car park space. Short drive to the NEC.

Despite proximity to the NEC, location is not great for walking around. House seemed clean superficially, but on a deeper look we found several spider webs in the corners, stained pillows, several spots of mould in the bathroom, and the wheelie bins outside were filled over the top when we arrived. Despite the house being advertised as for up to 6 people, there were only 4 sets of dishes, cutlery, etc. Not enough hooks or holders for the towels. The mattresses were not very comfortable and, because the double beds are two single beds put together, there is a big hole in the middle, very uncomfortable.

Great location for the NEC where we spent the week working. In theory the house should have been great but....

Very basic - everything is super budget. The beds are really soft and very uncomfortable - without doubt the worst i have laid on! Also the double is in fact two single mattresses with a large 4-5 inch gap in the middle! See the photos i have taken - garden was at least 8 weeks of growth. All the lights are bare bulbs! The sofa is a crazy tiny bench which you can sit on for about 10 mins! When we arrived the heating hive controller didnt work - the batteries were flat. we replaced but it wouldnt connect. so we had to try to control the heat with the boiler water temp controls which meant that it was either always on or always off - not at all idea. We contacted the owner who on the positive note, did respond and did get the garden cut - didnt sort the heating, or seem that bothered about it. There is no hair drier which my wife would have liked! There was no way to clean up dirt - there is a brush but no pan and no vacuum. There is no chopping board - which made cooking difficult!! The bins were overfull on arrival and the arrival instructions gave the wrong date to put the bins out which we followed but then missed the collection! With a really small amount of effort this could be quite a nice place to stay in. We stay in the area 2 weeks per year for work and have already booked another house for next one!

We would normally go for a more rural property but this one was closest to where we needed to be,so suited our requirements

Really nicely presented, exceptionally clean throughout, and with really comfy beds. A fab stay somewhere clean and bright. Thank you!

Sofa could do with updating to something comfortable to sit on and TV could have just been simple, turn on and go rather than need to log into. It's probably awesome but I didn't get to grips with it.
