Seal cottage was absolutely awful. It’s very dated and in poor repair. We refused to stay there. My husband asked for a room in the hotel which we had to pay extra for

Nothing springs to mind

Location was outstanding although the initial reception staff I found very rude. Although I must say staff members John (who usually works reception but covering spa) and a lady by the name of Dee was outstanding and very helpful.

The cleanliness within the restaurant was not so good. Food marks on the floor were not clean/ picked up from previous sittings

The location of the hotel is probably one of the best within the area of Cardigan with extensive views of the Cardigan coast and bay. Overall, the service was excellent with staff being happy to help in a pleasant and efficient manner. The price of rooms range from reasonable to expensive, therefore, at the economy end of the market, they can be a little basic and possibly not as good as smaller hotels within the area which is reflected in not being a perfect score. However, the same facilities are on offer to all residents no matter which type of room you have and this makes the whole experience a great one. The breakfast was excellent also with a great choice of food on offer.We ate there for the both nights of our stay, and really enjoyed the dining experience offered by the hotel. Reasonably priced food with the option of having more expensive and indulgent dishes should you wish. Being early evening eaters, our table was overlooking the bay and therefore, we were able to spot the odd dolphin or two during our evening. I would certainly highly recommend this hotel for eating and staying at for a short break.
