3 Bed House Close to Town & Cricket Ground

Spacious rooms and comfortable beds, got sufficient facilities for a short stay

There's a weird smell downstairs, like some people had a party and got sick in the room. Also upstairs bathroom does not close/lock at all, so not very convenient.

Absolutely nothing and we found different accommodation

Upon arrival, the property had very strong cooking smells and was tatty, shabby, unclean and sticky. (The owners said that it must have been the neighbours cooking that caused the smell, but having been there, I can assure you that it was within the fabric of the property). It only became apparent from the final email with the lockbox code on the day of arrival that this was a family home, as in, they have packed up and left for the weekend. There were scuffs and marks on every surface, dust and fingerprints on all surfaces, crumbs all over the kitchen, coat hangers everywhere, kids belongings shoved under the beds, condiments in the fridge and overall not at all suitable as a rental property. We feared for the safety of the car overnight as the area was pretty rough and the pictures on booking.com did not at all collaborate with what we were looking at. We have stayed in many properties over the last few months and this was the only one we have not been able to stay in. At 11.45pm in the evening upon arrival, we were forced to find other more suitable accommodation and have managed to get a part refund of the “stay”, reluctantly from the owners . We alerted the owners of the situation as soon as possible when we arrived so they could return to their property to sleep as we were not going to stay there. Interestingly, we can see that this property is now not available on booking.com. We can only assume the reason is this upcoming review. We have since been through the reviews of the property and can only assume they have been written by friends and family as they are so inaccurate and deceptive. Do not stay in this property. I can assure you that you will be disappointed and at £220 per night, it is an absolute joke. Due to Booking.com we were only allowed to upload 4 photos of the property. We have many more.

Could have been cleaner. Property very cluttered needs maintaining

Great location, near the train station. The property has everything you need to feel at home. It has all the gadgets and a book with nice recommendations. The living room has toys and books for kids.

The carpets were very old and the floor wasn't very clean. The garden at the back could have some work done to be able to use it. It was very hot and only 1 fan to use between 3 rooms.

Off road parking and within walking distance of the town centre. We were a family group with a small dog and this property met all our needs.

Very well kept and every room was wonderful.
