Casa degli Alpaca

Everything perfect! The owners are supper friendly, prepared good pizza and pasta for us with dessert. The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and the view is stunning. You can also see alpacas nearby :)

It is hard to say just one thing we liked; everything was perfect! Ines was so warm and inviting. She was so helpful coordinating transportation to and from the train station. And the food we were served was delicious. We ate every delicious meal on the terrace, taking in the most incredible view. The bed was firm and comfortable, the apartment had all the amenities we needed, and various drinks available for purchase. The trail was beautiful, and getting to see everyone interact in the shared courtyard made us feel like we were a part of a community.

The only thing we didn't like was that we didn't get to spend more time there! Our flight was delayed, so we missed our first night. Ines was so kind to offer us a stay for another night, but we already had plans.

Nice view because on the moutain but you have to walk to the Bellano city, go by bus or car. But we liked walking because views there are amazing.

Apartment pretty dark, from pictures it seemed more cozy.

A nice property with a wonderful host. The facilities were very good at the apartment.

The location is a long walk out of town. The last bus is too early in the evening to get back if you have dinner in town, so you have to resort to taxis which make the stay very expensive. If you have a car, which we did not, it's a wonderful place to stay.

The unit had a view of Lake Como. It was away from all city noises.

Situated above the town of Bellano where there is a train station and easy access to the motorway, making it perfect for getting around Lomio. Stunning views from the balcony, very friendly and helpful host who made us laugh a lot and cooks a good pizza! Fresh towels were provided every day and the place was extremely clean. The house is modern, roomy and gets a nice cool breeze which makes up for the lack of air-conditioning (don't be put off by this as it was 35deg.C when we were visiting and it was bearable if managed properly). The walk down into Bellano and back out of it takes a good 30 minutes each way and is very steep so bear this in mind if you don't plan on hiring a car. We enjoyed this hike though and the views you get as you walk down are amazing. There is a rental shop in Dervio called "Funsurf Centre" who rent out watersports equipment at a very reasonable price - much better than other ones I saw advertised in Bellagio and Como. Be sure to watch the sun go down from the balcony as it sets over the mountain peak on the opposite side of the lake.

The bed was uncomfortable and the meals offered by the host were a little on the expensive side. The owner's dogs kept howling and the WiFi connected but didn't work at all.

This place was really good after 6 hours driving. Just relax and owner made some pizza and "mini bar" was better than local minimarket. And of course the alpaca and the other animals. If you want one night to stay and just relax without finding dining place and minimarket for the refreshment, this is place for you. Did I say already. The alpaca ❤️
