The property is perfectly renovated and very well kept!, decorated and equipped. The staff is really lovely, discreet and was always available when needed.

Amazing. We didn’t want to leave. We celebrated our daughter’s birthday with friends and it was perfect. Space for everyone to enjoy.

The only two things I can say is the driveway and parking is a little tight for all the cars but totally worth the effort. Also, everyone mentioned the beds being very firm. When I come next time (which we plan to) I will bring a bed topper. Also, plan to bring ice and all your kitchen supplies as it isn’t a quick journey to a grocery store. Just notes for planning. It is amazing and well worth the visit.

We loved everything about Casa do Monte. The house itself is charming both inside and out. Very comfortable and attractively decorated with stunning views. It has a glorious position looking out over a valley in the beautiful Douro region. It is fantastically well equipped with facilities that kept teens and adults entertained with a game’s room and cinema. We all enjoyed the lovely pool and surrounding gardens so much we found it hard to leave. What also made it stand out from other houses we have stayed in was the care and consideration of both Marcus the owner (who was readily on hand for advice and help with bookings, taxis, car issues) and Rosa (the housekeeper). Waking up to a lovely breakfast was a great way to start each day and we really appreciated the daily housekeeping. We also fell for the charms of the village the casa is situated in and the friendliness of those we met. Don’t hesitate to book this casa. We would love to return.

Absolutely beautiful house with the best facilities of any we’ve stayed in! The cinema and games rooms were a huge hit with the children (and big kids!!), as was the pool area with its gorgeous views. Good location for exploring the Douro valley. Well appointed rooms and fantastic host with great communication. Thank you!

An amazing old house, big with many rooms (you can get a bit lost) beautifully decorated with tons of character. A nice Pool, Gardan, Gazebo and amazing amenities like small gym, a real movie room (with movie theatre seats) Jacuzzi and more. Perfect for a large family gathering (like what we have). Host was super responsive and attentive to any need (thank you Marcus).

Nothing, really. The gate and driveway is a bit tricky to get into with a big car.

Incredible property that could house our large group of family and friends. Dog friendly as well! The property was larger and more comfortable than we could have ever imagined when making the reservation. And it is extremely well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The housekeeper is wonderful and the host was very attentive to our needs. Thanks so much for helping to make our trip so memorable!

For those travelling with elderly persons, be aware that there are many stairs in the property which could be challenging for some people.

It was over expectation. We are all very satisfied and we really enjoyed the stay. The house was so clean and welcoming. A perfect place for a family reunion. 5 stars. Can definitely be back.

Not a big issue but the entry from the street with a family car was a bit tricky.
