Exceptional apartment in a nice and quiet area … only 15 minutes to the Staten Island Ferry

My family and I were staying 2 weeks for my graduation. Location was great. Parking is at the back with your own spot. My family managed to walk to the busstop and easily caught a ferry to Manhattan and back for free. So they were able to travel easily into NYC. Place is very clean, some provisions provided for cleaning, beds were very comfortable. There was no kettle, but the landlord bought one by the next day. Before the stay, as I was travelling, I asked the landlord if I could keep some items there for 2 weeks, and he kindly obliged. I asked again after I left, for the same period and that I would pay, he refused, so I had to throw everything,which was a shame.

Room is upstairs with the stairs being quite trippy and dangerous. It's easy to get your foot stuck under the carpet on each step and trip. The advert didn't say it's on the second floor, so my elderly father struggled alot with the stairs. I did mention it to the landlord, but he wasn't able to help. The fridge/freezer was a problem and not chilling. I informed the landlord, and he placed all my food outside in a different location in the basement fridge, which was a nuisance to get to for everything. That was alot of stairs to climb constantly. Once the fridge was fixed, it was sorted by the end of the week. There is no TV, so your stay can be boring if you plan to lounge inside the house. The biggest issue is the tenants downstairs... They love to party with loud music and the woman loves to scream all night and past midnight. I had to alert the landlord a couple of times. Sometimes he couldn't get through so I'd be knocking on the door to get a response.

Absolutely loved our stay! The place was spotless, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was friendly and responsive, making everything smooth and stress-free. Would definitely book again!

Was not very sound proofed and could hear others talking. Would have loved for three to have been a tv somewhere in the property

What we liked the best was how responsive the host was when I contacted them regarding a minor issue. They immediately showed up to correct the problem and that was appreciated. Additionally, the property was beautiful and well cared for. We had a great time since our family got to all be together and our experience was spectacular.

We didn’t like that there were only 3 bath towels for 4 guest who were staying for 5 days. This was uncomfortable to say the least because 2 of our family members had to share a towel the first night. Additionally, because we were staying five days, there should have been at least 2 towels per guest. Please consider this a small inexpensive suggestion that would make your guest feel welcome, and comfortable.
