Top-Ausstattung, direkter Blick auf Nordsee und Yachthafen, sehr großzügig und wohnlich, fußläufig zur Bäckerei und zum Einkaufszentrum mit Spar-Supermarkt, Fisch- und Feinkostladen, trotzdem sehr ruhig

Kein Fenster zum öffnen, Nutzung der Sauna/Pool nur über Kellerzugang zum Hotel möglich

Die Lage der Wohnung war super. Die Größe und Einrichtung war auch schön.

Die Matratzen waren zu weich. Leider hat keiner von uns gut geschlafen. Die Fenster in den Schlafzimmern ließen sich nicht öffnen. Lüften also nicht möglich. Die Bedienung der Fernseher hat nach Besuch eines Technikers am zweiten Tag funktioniert. Für die Beleuchtung hätten uns einfache Lichtschalter genügt. Es fehlte ein Wasserkocher und ein Toaster.

Ideally located, spacious, well equiped, swimming pool accessible by covered parking - if the badge for the parking doesn’t seem to work: go to the reception of Hotel de Schelde. in our case there were problems with the badge receptor on the parking barrier and the reception staff came out helping people get in and out the parking immediately. very professional! - the swimming pool is brand new and has spacious changings rooms and is well designed! - ideal place for ship spotting, immediate access to biking paths (if you manage to get your bikes out, see below). Enough space to take kids bike trailors into the flat (no space in the storage room in -1) - enough storage rooms/cupboards - very comfortable couch, quite quiet at night on the streets, so you might be able to sleep without noise-canceling ear plugs when sleeping in the living room (why this was necessary: please see below) - enough place to place sleeping mats on the floor close to the balcony door (why this is necessary if you want to sleep: please read below). - there is a small storage room where 2/3 of the room are not taken by the kitchen china packing.

- DANGEROUS, life threatening for babie! impossible warm temperature in the bedrooms as it is impossible to open any window and there is no AC and ventilation doesn’t help at all. We were there in late August- early September and despite of not having no particularly warm summer weather (not reaching 30 degrees), we didn’t manage to get the bedrooms under 27 degrees. Heat is a major risk factor for SIDS (sudden infant death) and therefore it is absolutely disrespectful not to warn customers about this. The only solution is to go buy camping mats (1 person can sleep on the couch) and to sleep in the living rooms close to the balcony window. But this isn’t in line with the high price. Plus: the blankets are of a thickness to survive Siberian winter temperatures and not of any help to protect against a fresh wind coming from the balcony door where you can’t close the latter as the living room is closer to 25 degrees than 24 (which is already too warm for a baby’s security). This is absolutely inacceptable and as long as there is no AC, rebooking is not an option. - Slurry odor (Güllegeruch)/sewagw plant odor (Kläranlagengeruch) especially in the master bathroom, mostly present, but so strong during 4 days (not in a row) that it was impossible to use this bathroom and the adjacent bedroom. The odor was as well perceptible by opening the left tap/faucet. The 2 first days, the venilation just spread the extremely strong odor across the entire flat so we had to leave the flat in order not to vomit. We didn’t find out and got no explanation why this odor was so extremely strong on some days (while on others it was as weak as it was possible to stay inside the flat or not present at all) and why it just came from the one of the 2 bathrooms, for a flat of this standard, this is very disappointing. - Luggage: Make prayers not all parking spots opposite to the flat’s spot are occupied as you will not succeed to get your luggage to the lift to take them to the flat.
