Villa Iris, beachfront, with jacuzzi, up to 9 guests, Mpali beach, Rethymno!

Our family of five—two teenage daughters and one 4-year-old—had an absolutely fantastic time staying at Villa Iris. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The communication with Miss Zaharenia was smooth and prompt. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and greatly appreciated the goods we were given: fresh cherries and olives, bread, and local pastries that our kids loved. We then bought these pastries almost every day from the nearby bakery, which we highly recommend. We were given a thorough tour of the property. The space was clean and tidy, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The amenities provided were top-notch, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including towels and bathrobes. Husband enjoyed the soothing shower gel and lotion provided in each bathroom, and with the cleaning service, wife felt like she was in a hotel. The location is perfect, with family restaurants just a few steps away. We ended up not cooking much, although the kitchen had all the necessary equipment. We enjoyed exploring the area, and there is a small motor train running every hour, which we used to move around. It was a perfect and fun addition for our 4-year-old. What is amazing as well about the location of the villa being in the port is that when we got tired of laying on the beach, we could rent a motorboat a few times and enjoy nearby "secret" beache accessible only by sea. We also rented a pedalo from a handsome Greek skipper :D, and they had jet skis as well. There is parking space in front of the villa, but we didn’t rent a car because it wasn’t needed. There are two supermarkets with some fresh produce and a very good butcher—he had lamb and pork kebabs, chicken or beef meat, and more. There is a grill in the villa that we didn’t use, as we went to restaurants instead. A restaurant we recommend is Mambo, which is on the nearby beach; they have sushi, fresh fish, and a really great “Caribbean-like” atmosphere.
