Modern apartment provided with everything any guest would need. Lee and Wendy are excellent hosts, keen to ensure that guests make the best of their stay and experience of the Lake District.

I loved everything about the apartment, the only thing I would change is by converting the small office into a en-suite so you didn’t have to go up and down the staircase at night, but I suppose that’s down to my disability

Everything about the property was great! The hosts were extremely welcoming and ensured we had the best stay possible. The property is in a great location and the spa add on was a good idea for us, we really enjoyed it. I would 100% recommend this to other if they are wishing for a nice, relaxing and quiet place to have a break!

Property was immaculate, well kept and some very thoughtful touches throughout. Kitchen and property have everything you can possibly need. Really generous space and facilities for a couple. Only downside here was 3 coffee pods for 4 days wasn’t quite suffice…

Limited hot water available is really quite poor. Considering people visit the lake district to go outdoors, the first thing you want after a 6 hour hike is a hot shower, the fact that there is limited hot water daily due to an ‘eco boiler’ (as stated in the welcome pack at the property) and quite frankly not enough available for 2 people to shower twice a day is ridiculous given the price of the property. We had to have cold showers post hike which was far from pleasant. The ‘spa’ option the owners provide is also poor, the spa itself is fine, but the gym, shower and changing facilities are like stepping back in time by 20 years. The owner is also persistent on ‘selling’ you this option from the second of booking (and multiple times leading up to your stay) at a slightly discounted rate, I would advise going direct to see the facilities BEFORE you pay. Note they are NOT refundable and not interchangeable and certainly not worth the price - We paid for 3 uses, used once but were not given a refund. The owner is very helpful and responsive, but this can also be a little too much, for example in the build up to our stay we were messaged 4/5 times about purchasing spa passes and throughout our stay tried to upsell us on numerous occasions which we could have done without.
