Kiahuna Plantation Renovated 1br, Private Lanai, AC 411

The unit was very good and it was very well supplied with anything we could need and some more things we did not expect as toilettries, detergent, snorkels, etc. Everything was explained clearly and we easily found the cards for getting the beach towels. The lounge chairs supplied at the beach were good. There are several very good restaurants nearby, most of which require a car because of the limitations on walking paths.

The building is relatively far from the beach and this beach is not very large. The Aythletic club was closer and the pool is quite large but not heated. It is not easy to walk in this neighborhood; a car is a must

There was plenty of snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, umbrellas, bags, coolers, and everything we needed for the beach so we didnt have to rent any equipment!

2nd floor unit was clean and consistent with the pictures. The kitchen was fairly well equipped as we cooked nearly all meals. BBQ grill close by, but one of the grills was disabled. Picture on this review is the grill and parking area from the front door. Lanai is fully shaded until mid afternoon. Plenty of parking. Quiet, you don’t really hear the traffic on Poipu Road. Good for a couple, and maybe 2 kids. Would be very cramped for 4 adults. Kiahuna Beach looked a bit rough for swimming, so we drove the 3 minutes to Poipu Beach just because it was easier with beach chairs and umbrella. The pool, gym, and hot tub are across the street at the Poipu Beach Athletic Club. Walkable, but in the heat it was better to drive there. Nice, especially for small kids. There’s a big kiddy pool area with a coarse sand bottom. They don’t allow outside food or drinks as there’s an on-site restaurant. The pool closes at 7 pm.

The king bed was on the soft side, sheets were loose and tended to bunch up. Did not like the scented detergent used on the bedding. The AC doesn’t do a good job of cooling the bedroom as the head is in the front of the living room. We opened the louvers during the day and just turned on the AC at night when the breeze dies down. Overhead fans work well.

The condo was beautifully decorated, very functional and comfortable. Very well equipped, we found everything we needed, even beach chairs, umbrella and other equipment.

The location was okay.

The property was listed as newly updated, it was not. Newer flooring and maybe kitchen cabinets. The bedding covering was dirty and soiled. The pull out bed had eggshell topping that was awful. The bathroom was a joke, with chipped tub and dirty. The kitchen was missing a facia board in the cabinet below the sink, (real classy)!

Liked the beach equipment available in the unit..chairs, umbrella etc. The location is perfect..convenient to beach, stores etc. very quiet and peaceful with the AC a plus.

The location was walking distance to Poipu beach and the turtles. Also just across the highway there is a shopping center with stores and restaurants. The condo was nice and in good condition.

Be aware that all of the interior doors are shutter style with slats so there isn’t a lot of privacy, including in the bathroom as far as sound goes.

Nice place, thank goodness for air conditioning.
