I believe that you get what you pay for. In this case I got much more. The price for my stay was very cheap so I expected very little. What I got was a nice big, clean, ensuite room, comfortable bed, tea and coffee, tv and good wifi. I was able to borrow a quality, clean iron, and the staff were very helpful.

The building is a little rundown and the decor in the room isn't great, but for the price, overall excellent value for money

reception and room is in much need of an update. Room was very shabby and dirty. Paint on carpets, shoe prints and general dirt on walls and holes in the walls. Broken tiles in bathroom, shower was filthy I didn't even use it, stained pillowcases. Broken window sill. I know it was cheap but expect a place to be clean!

Nothing like the photos on booking.com. Only one towel in room there were two of us. Very dirty radiator. One little mirror over sink, not good for women wanting to do their hair using hairdryer/straigthners

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Breakfast was good and set me up for the day, however there was some confusion as it was usually only provided on a Saturday and Sunday. They did make shift to ensure that I had breakfast on the Friday, as I had paid for it after all. But, I was delighted that they were easily able and willing to turn that complaint into a compliment on this matter!!

The room was adequate but lacked the 'home comforts' I'd like to expect as standard. The WiFi, although advertised, was not available (maybe it needed a password, which was not offered?). This was disappointing as I was on a work trip and it would have been handy. Other small details such as a wardrobe or even just hangers for clothes, and the introduction of bedside lighting would have made my stay more convenient. The room decor was tired and appeared 'unfinished' but the least it could have done with was a good spring clean, especially the shower cubical, as a basic expectation of any hotel stay. There was no room maintenance during my stay and although there was tea/coffee facilities, it wasn't replenished throughout my 3 night stay.
