Modern 3BR Home - Private parking - TV in every bedroom

Well... I called the " owner" as we approached the property as the link on booking.com message service to give us access details wasn't working. Turns out the "owner" details were for another booking agency and the property I had booked (& payment of £830 had been taken from my account just days prior) was no longer a rental! So I didn't get to see the property to rate it!! Odd given I had had messages only days before via booking.com message service confirming the owners were all set to host me & acknowledging my arrival time. I even got a message after night one asking how my first night was and how my stay could be improved- ha!

See above! Booking.com say they are waiting to hear back from the rental company but when I spoke to the rental company direct they say they have replied. So between being fobbed off and what I am considering a fraudulent taking of money from my account all the circumstances I am waiting for refund details.. I have proposed what I would accept.. failing which I have asked booking.com for details so I can send a letter before action of my intention to commence court proceedings.

Clean and comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom were modern, lounge and bedrooms were bright and colourful. Liked the private parking space.

Only one sofa in the lounge. There were only 3 persons in our group but we had to sit together on this one, fairly small sofa. The house has 3 bedrooms and can sleep 5-6 persons, but has insufficient seating for watching tv or relaxing. No coffee table. The stairs are quite long and steep, but there is no handrail. No mirrors in the bedrooms - there is one above the sink in the bathroom and a úseless one in the lounge. No hairdryer in the house. The garden, front and back, is very unappealing and full of weeds - and our 1st impression when we arrived was “Oh dear!” Fortunately we were much more impressed once we entered the house.

There was only one 2 seater couch when there was 6 guests. We had to make do with a breakfast table for entertainment. The living room really needs additional seating and maybe a coffee table. It would have been good to know the next door neighbours have a rooster who keeps you up through the night. The hosts were unreachable. We tried to call the two numbers provided included a what's app message to no avail. We had questions about the accommodation prior to arrival including leaving a few items of expense left behind without any contact. Really disappointing stay and experience

James was a fantastic host, very forthcoming and responsive to any queries that arise. He provided enough information to enable me and my family easily check into the property and settle in nicely.

The rooms are not quite as big as they appear in the advertised images, not too small either. And a 3 bedroom house with just one toilet/ bathroom was not quite ideal. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything better in the area.

Price for one night at a nice modern 3 bed house to ourselves.

The property was freezing cold when we arrived, which was a big off put because we have a small 4month old baby. The heating didn’t heat up the house for the whole time we were there. We were all freezing cold & shivering. The dishes weren’t properly washed either, but was a quick fix. Beautiful house all together, everything was great apart from those two things.

The property was in a fab location for us visiting family. The owners was amazing with communication and making sure we had everything we needed. The house it self was lovely, stylish and up to date. Very very comfortable beds.
