Nesso House - Lake View & Solarium

Mooie locatie, prachtig uitzicht, snel contact met de host

Zwarte schimmel op muren badkamer!! Gekke lucht in het appartement, erg vochtig. Wasmachine doet niet goed, was niet schoon. Bed ligt niet lekker. Om warm water uit de kraan te krijgen moet je een heel gek trucje uithalen, heeft de host niet vermeld, toen we wilden douchen bij aankomst kwam hij met een voorbeeld filmpje hoe het moet -> bekend probleem dus, waarom laat je het niet maken?

The appartment is quiet, cosy and has a wonderful view on Lake Como. Nesso is a small charming town. Bus station is just in front of the house, the ferry is just a 5-10 min walk away. You don't need a car, ferries and bus connections are so well organised. Parking is possible nearby. The host was very responsive and always willing to support and help when something is not ok.

The appartment was not used for some time and airing the appartment the days before we arrived would have been great, but that was just the beginning. Everything else was fine. I guess in high summer climatisation would be beneficial.

Der Blick vom Balkon war perfekt und wunderschön. Eine Bushaltestelle war direkt vor der Wohnung das war auch total super. Nach Nesso läuft man ungefähr 15 Minuten, auch das war vollkommen in Ordnung von der Lage! Außerdem ist der Gastgeber zuvorkommend und antwortet direkt, wenn etwas nicht passt.

Die Wohnung hat einen leicht unangenehm Geruch, wenn man sie betritt. Nach dem durchlüften geht es. Da die Wohnung im Erdgeschoss ist, haben uns viele Insekten besucht. Wer also Angst vor Krabbeltieren hat ist dort falsch. Leider ging das warme Wasser nicht immer. Der Gastgeber hat uns aber direkt geholfen als wir ihm geschrieben haben, top! Der Zugang zum See war sehr bewachsen und schwer zu erreichen. Haben wir dadurch nicht genutzt. Die Wohnung hat keinen eigenen Parkplatz, aber man konnte ein paar Gehminuten weiter parken, wenn denn etwas frei war, ansonsten schwierig.

The view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful! As you walk down the steps from the front door, you are instantly drawn to the view of the stunning lake and mountains. The property was clean and very comfortable, it had everything we needed and more (including a washing machine). The best part of our time at Nesso House was meeting Jacopo, what an exceptional host! He went to the trouble of picking us up and dropping us to the accomodation, and even picked us up in town after we did some shopping. We could not have been more impressed with his wonderful hospitality.

The location was great and Nesso is a beautiful city. We loved our room as it was a short stay. The host was good to us until we left.

The property had a few problems. It was very far down and the stairs were slippery with green moss growing on it. The shutter was jammed and it took us a whole lot of energy to take it up and down. Halfway it was locked. The kitchen didn’t have any spatula or any oil to cook. The hot water kept going out in the middle of the shower. The host had to send us videos on how to control the shutter or how to get hot water. We managed as we loved the property as it was after all - Como. But to our surprise - when we left the host told us that we broke the shutter whereas it was already jammed. So it was very unpleasant.

I will start with basics.. In December the basic thing you need is hot water.. unfortunately, I have to wait several minutes and try different ways (switching to cold then hot or open the kitchen water tap) to have hot water which might cut and turn to cold while showering!! Also, the apartment is not equipped by basic appliances in apartments such as water kettle and Microwave. Last, it was very difficult to find the location of apartment especially if you visit the area for the first time.. and unfortunately no one was waiting for us to at least guide and direct us.

Great place to relax. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped and the bed is great. It has a great view on the lake and it was absolutely quiet.
