The apartment is great as is the location

It’s a nice apartment however with some flaws that were mentioned already in previous comments - would suggest to check with the host whether they have been fixed as they promised they would look into it. The bedroom facing the street and living room are very noisy (not normal big city noise) due to a hole covered with a metal plate being run over by cars; the communication is not via Booking and it would be nice if the host mentioned it more clearly so getting the check in info would be a bit less stressful; the doorcode randomly didn’t work and you have to hope the host is available when it happens to get a new one (and that you have your internet-connected phone at hand). The apartment is big, nicely positioned and well equipped.

The location is what I thoroughly enjoyed. Having the convenience store downstairs was definitely a plus. The people at the door were always extremely attentive and we felt safe at all times. The huge sliding doors leading to the balcony were great since it tends to get a bit hot throughout the day. You do hear everything once the windows are opened but you do get a good breeze. There is a juice/drink stand right outside plus another stand that sells food for added convenience.

Communication was always through WhatsApp and due to phone/wifi issues I had to wait a good 15 minutes to know how to enter the building. One night our code didn't work and we were locked out, fortunately a couple let us in. I got a new code within the hour. You do hear everything, the constant barking of the neighbor's dogs and the hustle and bustle of the city. I thought they were working outside but it's just a steel plank covering a pothole and it makes a loud noise every time a car runs over it. It is pretty much constant. The shower was great in the bedroom to the right. The bathroom down the hallway needs to be descaled since it sprays water everywhere but down. The cabinet was broken in the bathroom. I had to wash the towels since they had brown stains on them. The only mirrors are in the bathroom and it was uncomfortable to get ready in there due to limited space. A mirror in the room would've been great for makeup application. There is no dryer or anywhere to properly hang your clothes to dry. A drying rack would be great for future guests. Although the washer had some kind of dry mode but it said 9hrs32 minutes. No thank you, way too long. The bottom sheet does have little lint balls and will bother sensitive skin as it's a bit scratchy. The coffee maker was broken and that was a bummer since I am a coffee drinker. I asked if he could replace it and he said he could not. The microwave is pretty high up especially for me since I'm short. Overall it was overpriced for what we got, I don't think we would stay here again.

The location was great! Close to a lot of the places we wanted to visit. Lots of restaurants close by. Transportation was easy. Even a hospital was just two blocks away in case of emergency.

The host was extremely bad at responding. We were flying in from another country and we still didn't know how to get into the apartment when we landed. We were fortunate that our cab driver from the airport was able to help us contact the host.

The apartment is very cute and cozy. The views are great as well as location. There are a lot of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. The beds are extremely comfortable too.
