Gather Taupo - Lakeview - Spa Pool

Close to everything and suited our needs for a girls weekend perfectly. Comfy beds and everything was clean and well presented. Spa was lovely after completing the Kinloch Offroad Challenge.

A coffee plunger would have been a nice addition but otherwise everything was great :)

The beds and pillows! Sooooo comfortable. Everyone got a great nights sleep. Location and view.

This is a list of things to have a Dpring Clean going iver to bring it up to scratch and have people feel they got galue for money. Coffee machine won't prick coffee pods properly so couldn't use it Oven door seals worn and sagging ... needs replacing Oven needs instructions on wall to turn it on properly. It was very difficult. Smoke alarm should be placed in lounge not right in kitchen. Outside deck light doesn't work. No spare linen for 'accidents' . (Spilt tea on bed) No 'folder above' with washing / drier instructions as wall sign said there would be ... not above washing machine or 'above' in top shared living area. Multiple brown chest or pubic hairs in top bathroom Black Mark on door under clothes hook in top bathroom Need to take the shower door bottom seal off and clean the yellow brown gunk out No extracter fan in bottom bathroom Front Door constantly sticks and won't open even with right number. Takes five or more tries each time. Kitchen clock battery flat ... doesn't tell the time. Stain on ceiling by cup cupboard A lot of condensation on the windows especially downstairs.

Very well appointed and comfortable property, with great communication from the managers. stunning views across the lake to the mountains. Heat pumps upstairs and heaters downstairs kept the property comfortably warm in winter. Spa was a lovely treat after our walk.

Gather 2 was fantastic for our group of 7. In the winter, the living area would be snug for a larger group, you’d need to use the dining area and chairs. (Less of an issue in spring /summer).

Beautiful location opposite the lake & the best coffee cart in town! Walking distance to town beside the lake. Beds very comfortable and cosy.

Good communication from property owner (property manager) and helpful. It has all you need in terms of facilities for family vacation. Great view as well. We missed it. It hope its pest control done, cleaned and sanitised now. I will definitely go again if they promise it.

Property manager promised for pest control on the call after the incident below. Unfortunately when we went, it was full (i mean a lot of bugs crawling on the ceiling, floor and from the heat pump unit). Completely disgusted. To be honest, the property manager did helped to send someone to clean up that night and change the bedsheets immediately. Despite that they just kept on coming. We vacated late night at 11pm with young kids without any accomodation left in Taupo (due to Matariki). End up paying so much somewhere at 1am check-in. It was extremely challenging for us. Refund was given in full but our difficulties & experience remained a nightmare on that day. Bugs are common in NZ especially in winter its hiding in warmer place. I dont mean to tarnish their reputation.
