Barn with Hot Tub, Pool Table & Pizza Oven

So we arrived at the barn with ease to be honest there were 4 couples age range 60 plus, we have rented many large properties some absolutely fantastic and some not so good. We have rented many place and this was large enough for 8 adults, plenty of room to all sit round the living area and talk, it’s easy to find by the direction sent out by the host, there is plenty of space to park all four cars. The local pub does serve amazing food and has a nice area inside and out.

The barn could be one of the fantastic places however needs some loving care to reach that we felt, thing like the tap upstairs in the master suite that spun round or the toilet seat on the downstairs suite that was hanging on by a tread so when you sat on it fell to one side. The hot tub is a blow up spa that is very strong with chlorine it stings your eyes and the steps to that area are very uneven and a hazard. We couldn’t find the coals so emailed the property who said they were in the shed, now the shed door isn’t attached to the broken shed it’s just resting in the gap. The whole outdoor area really does let this barn down the decking area where the spa is set up looks new where the rest is tied. The house could do with good pillows and quilts that’s always a must and the property is extremely hot upstairs worse than downstairs but they have provided fans in the rooms. The suite downstairs we found when you moved in bed the light in the on suite came on, but if you closed it that was the only room with a window for some air. In general it’s a large area in the main room and nice for many guest but the whole barn needs some loving care. We did contact the property regarding the broken toilet seat but they failed to respond, the property could do with a plumber to look at issues in each bathroom from flushers, toilet seats, taps. There is one room that has no storage that could do with a rail or anything to put clothes on rather than having to leave in their case.

The house itself was very nice and definitely a lot of space . The rooms were all lovely and everything was very clean. The garden area was nice and private with the hot tub and fairy lights for the evening

The only thing I will say is that it did get very hot in the house with the weather being so good ! So maybe a few little fans for the hot weather

Beautiful barn conversion - very spacious and perfect for our family with the large tv, pool table, darts board and hot tub which kept the children entertained. The Christmas tree was a lovely additional touch. The long dining table was ideal and the kitchen was lovely and had pretty much everything we needed. We had a great walk across the countryside to the nearest pub for lunch.

The positives far outweigh the negatives here and this feedback is intended to be constructive. Personally I wasn’t sure about the metal bed frames in the room designated for our two youngest children, the mattress kept moving sideways thereby exposing the dangerous corners along the side in which a young child could accidentally knock their head against. Also the stairs to the mezzanines - I had to warn the children to go up and down those very carefully. The hot tub was smaller than expected so only the children used it (big enough for 4 people, not 6 of us) but they loved it so not a deal breaker. The curtains would not open in the master bedroom so the only way to let light in was to take it off completely and put it back up at night. Also it would be great if there was a washing machine in there to enable longer stays. Overall the barn was very impressive and we thoroughly enjoyed our break here.
