La Maison d'Aline - Honfleur - Maison d'Hôte De Charme A La Normande

Breakfast, only offerred at 9 a.m., was pleasant. Simply scrambled aggs, some cold meats and smoked salmon, some cakes and croissants. The location, just outside Honfleur, is perfect. It has a lovely garden.

The room was not as described. It was at the very top of the house - so much for “garden view”. Access was only up a narrow spiral staircase with no handrail and some broken tile steps. Dangerous for old folks like us. The room needed more furniture - there were no bedside tables, the lights just stood on the floor. The toilet was ridiculously small - a door and ceiling less than 5’ high. It’s hard to imagine it passed any building code. Speaking of building code, there were no Emergency Exit signs. The welcome was lacking in warmth, verging on surly.

La maison ancienne restauree et arrangee avec bon goût, à l anglaise. Jusqu aux details. Le jardin tres bien entretenu apaisant accueillant L amabilite du personnel et la responsable. La nourriture avec du fait maison sur mesure pour le petit dejeuner et plus si affinité. Le confort des chambres. Grande plage proche et autres promenades à pied.

Pour ceux que cela pourrait ennuyer, pas nous : Rideaux non occultants. Qq araignees des champs à l interieur..... Tv un peu petite, en cas de mauvais temps. Voiture quasi obligée pour les communes voisines.

Lovely garden and convenient for elegant Honfleur. Nice breakfast and a comfy bed.

The stairs were incredibly steep and narrow, it would be impossible for anyone with limited mobility to get to the top of the house. Likewise the tiny toilet in the room which required gymnastics to use!

The hotel is beautiful the owner is very friendly & helpful the gardens are stunning and breakfast was fantastic.

The place is beautiful beyond believe. Every fine detail is tended to.Breakfast was a poet. The owner was helpful and instrumental. Wish we could stay longer.

We enjoyed the great breakfast, with home made jams, cookies and pies, out on the terrace, the beautiful garden with quiet places to relax after a day out and last but not least the warm hospitality of the owners and staff of Maison d’Aline.

The toilet on the top floor is a bit small for tall people , and the internet and TV connections are not always stable.

The house and garden look very idyllic. There is such a great atmosphere created by the host. She is very kind and keeps everything clean and tidy. We felt like we were on vacation even though we stayed only for one night. The location is also great with the landscapes around and close to the nice villages on the coast.
