Lon Ban House B&B

Este lugar é uma experiência totalmente diferente de qualquer hospedagem comum. A ilha de Skye já é um lugar belíssimo, mas a casa fica no final da ilha, o que é ainda mais espetacular. Começando pelo caminho até a chegada: estradas rurais, estreitas mas muito boas, com morros, lagos, ovelhas e paisagens deslumbrantes. A parte final, quase na casa, tem uma das mais lindas vistas de toda ilha. Os quartos (são 2, mas todos estão disponíveis para o mesmo hóspede ou família) têm uma vista belíssima, ficam no andar de cima da casa onde vive Graham, o anfitrião. Ainda assim, a privacidade é total, assim como sua disponibilidade para o que for necessário. Tudo é de extrema qualidade na casa. Graham conhece muito bem a ilha e dá ótimas dicas. Um dos pontos altos é a comida, que foi a melhor de todas na Escócia (e também comemos bem noutros lugares). Graham é um grande cozinheiro e prepara um jantar imperdível (menu degustação), com produtos frescos de comerciantes locais. A experiência do jantar (comida, ambiente, atendimento, vista) é inesquecível, assim como o café da manhã tipicamente escocês. Enfim, não é um lugar barato, mas vale cada centavo. Não trocaria este lugar por ficar em Portree ou em nenhuma outra parte da ilha. Para realmente aproveitar, uma vez que a ilha é grande, o ideal seria ficar ao menos 2 noites, como fizemos. Espero voltar.

Graham was so welcoming and helped us get settled into our rooms. We have to book Graham's place last minute due to our other accommodation losing power during the storm the day before and so we were very grateful that Graham put his home up to book for the night. The rooms were lovely, very clean, cute amenities and the beds were very comfortable. There was a bath which we made use of and also an adorable lounge room / dining room that was ours to use for our stay and where Graham served us breakfast. We really appreciated being served GF and DF (Graham is a great cook). The scenery is gorgeous around the home, with cliffs and the sea nearly at the doorstep. Its secluded and there is no street lights so perfect for looking at the stars or catching an aurora. Graham also has great tips and hiking destinations around Skye and Scotland. All in all and very Grand stay - Thank you Graham!

It wasn’t just a regular stay — it was an experience of living in a local house, with a level of service and hospitality that puts some full-scale premium hotels to shame. Graham (the owner of the property) did everything to make our stay memorable: from serving a tasty Scottish breakfast to helping us build a list of places to visit and recommending restaurants worth trying in the nearby areas. I highly recommend this property if you want to truly experience the Isle of Skye.

We had an amazing stay at Lon Ban House. The property is beautiful, very comfortable, and set in a perfect location with stunning views. Everything was spotless and well taken care of, which made us feel relaxed from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the food – it was absolutely incredible. Every meal was prepared with so much care, using fresh, high-quality local ingredients, and the result was simply amazing. Graham was very welcoming and made sure everything was perfect for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Lon Ban House to anyone visiting Skye.
