Turisme Rural - Mas Vilà - Monells

The houses are set in beautiful grounds around a 1h30 drive from Barcelona. Monica is an excellent host, making sure we were all enjoying our stay across the weekend. As we travelled with two dogs, she kept the chickens in the coop. Each property has its own outdoor seating area and BBQ, and sun loungers are assigned to the different properties. When the houses lacked certain items, she quickly gave them to us (e.g. bin bags and sponges!)

We had booked the available properties through booking and had expected to have the entire property to ourselves as it wasn't clear from the description how the houses were laid out. Monica lives on site and had no issues with the amount of noise 11 adults will make, however there were two more groups on the property, one of which was in the property above one of ours. We would not have wanted to share a building with another group as we are aware that 11 people will make a fair amount of noise so would have booked an alternative property had we known. Monica handled it incredibly well, finding a social space where we could move to for the second evening so we didn't disrupt the other group, however it's worth bearing in mind at the time of booking as we would have preferred more privacy for the weekend.
