Alpha 3 Eco Cabin

We spent 2N3D at the Alpha 3 ECO Cabin in Toraja. This is not a 5-star, nor even a 4-star accommodation — but that is not what truly matters. The owner of the accommodation was also our guide, Wila. From the very first moment we arrived at the airport, we were impressed by his outstanding knowledge, intelligence, and perfect English skills. Wila helped us truly understand the essence of Toraja. If I had to describe it in one sentence: “a place where death keeps life alive.” Through him, we were able to attend ceremonies and rituals that we would never have experienced on our own, and he explained everything to us in great detail. We did not feel like simple spectators, but almost like participants in these events. Every day started early at dawn, and from sunrise until late evening, every moment was an experience. In the evenings, no matter how tired we were, our conversations continued over a beer. We enjoyed every single minute of it. We became part of an unforgettable experience.

Wila est très sympa ! La cabine est très jolie, en pleine jungle sans vis-à-vis, même si elle est proche de la route principale. On a particulièrement aimé le matelas très confortable, la petite terrasse, et la douche très jolie avec de l'eau chaude et de la pression !

A great choice for a few nights stay in Toraja. The space is set back from the main high up with a beautiful lush garden and view in front. The owner Wila is also a guide and took me to a lot of areas including a funeral ceremony, many burial sites and places of interest. He’s friendly and a lot of fun, you will have a good time with him. There is a cafe (serving alcohol - great for the rainy nights). Plus karaoke too if you want it!

I got breakfast very in the morning at 6:30 pm. Location was in Rantipao, which was very close to the funeral ceremony destination; other turist destination were very close. I enjoyed it very much

Herzlicher Empfang durch den sympathischen Gastgeber Wila. Sehr schöne Aussicht aus der Cabin auf den Dschungelgarten und die Umgebung. Hervorragender lokaler Kaffee im zugehörigen Lande Café. Der Inhaber ist zudem ein versierter Reiseführer für Toraja.
