Hostel Essassi 23

The location was a few minutes walking distance from jemaa el fna square and the myriad of surrounding stalls, restaurants, etc... The interior decor is very nice and authentic. There's a nice terrace. The bathroom and shower room were clean. The guy at the hostel (sorry, didn't get his name) was helpful and available at all hours. I needed a cab to the airport at 4:30 am, which he arranged for me and while i was waiting outside, he noticed that the cab was running a little late and took the initiative to call the driver again.

There were a couple of small, dead cockroaches in my room. And on my 2nd night a rather large one came crawling under the door into my room, under the bed, and then back out again. My bed was really hard. There was a group of really noisy, inconsiderate, Spanish people talking loudly, and making all sorts of noise at the smallest hours of the night. It would have been nice if they had been shooshed more affectively although this can't be taken out on the staff. I had a horrible couple of nights' sleep.

Very good location. We barely used taxi for sightseeing.

Wifi isn’t working at all. Plus, the shower downstairs do not have hot water. The room had only one outlet. No heaters as well.

L'hospitalité à notre arrivée du personnel. Mustapha est une personne aidante qui aime partager ses conseils, ou des informations très utiles au séjour, aide au transport,etc... Ambiance agréable , jeune et dynamique emplacement stratégique et facile à retrouver dans la Médina . Le tarif vraiment très intéressant. Simple et authentique 😊

RAS je pense revenir si l'occasion se présente.

the room is in the basement and there are 2 serious issues in the basement in general: the place is so humid, damp and smelly because of the lack of the sun and the proper ventilation. The place has low ceiling and to make it worst, the concrete ceiling reinforcement beams are located just in front of the rooms door (you open the door and you straight away end up banging your head ) !!!!
