Fab 2bedroom apartment- Free parking, 5mins from city centre, Portland Rd NE2 1DJ

Apartment was lovely and clean and well equipped with everything you would need. Great location and just a short walk into the city.

The location was great. It was just five minutes walk from Jesmond Metro Station, and local shops were very close. The apartment was comfortable and well-equipped, and very quiet at night. The parking is very useful and convenient.

The shower was not very hot.

We arrived a bit earlier then expected at the accomodation, the host was very willing to accomodate our special request to drop our luggage a bit quicker in the house, so we could see the city. This was very nice. The living room was not very big but very well equipped. Everything we needed was there in the kitchen. Even 7 oven trays for the oven. The house was very clean, we liked the presence of the dishwasher. Supermarkets are 5-10 minutes away. The metro is around 5 minutes walking. You can get very quickly to the centre. For a couple of days this is a fine apartment to book.

I encountered an issue with the bed, I was not happy with. The problem was very well solved with quick communication by the host. I was happy that despite running into a problem we could fix it.

Clean and bedrooms were good. Great location. Hot water all the time.

Kitchen/living was pretty small. Slightly funny smell - particularly in the bathroom.

Hosts couldn't be anymore accommodating as we needed an earlier check in. Loved there was tea, coffee, sugar, milk and water. Loved the quirky touches.

We had an issue with other guests, but the hosts couldn't have done anymore to help resolve the situation.

Proximity to City Centre shops, Ouseburn district and the river made it very convenient. Free parking also was a bonus. Comfy beds, good powerful shower and excellent comms from host made it a positive experience. The apartment is compact, but had everything we needed for a long weekend. It was also quiet and there was minimal noise, so able to get a good night's sleep. Fan heater was great for a bit of extra heat in the evening.

The lounge could do with a big lamp to provide a bit more light and maybe an additional chair if there were 4 / 5 people staying. If I am being really picky, some of the fixtures and fittings could be better quality i.e. light fittings, wooden rather than plastic coat hangers, but to be honest completely fine for a weekend away with the girls.

Each of the apartments were lovely - perfect for the 8 of us staying. Really clean and spacious!

The double beds were harder than expected. Not enough pillows for each of the beds. Also in apartment 1 when we got there the bedroom with the two single beds smelt of smoke which was disappointing. There was a humidifier in the room to try and get rid of the smell but it was very strong. This was disappointing due to the fact they were non smoking rooms. Presuming this is from previous guests? Or the next apartment block? Needed more loo rolls!
