B&B Teddy "Prachtig authentiek woonschip uit 1912, 15 minuten van Amsterdam"

Warm welcome by the owners who are very available too. Drinking morning coffee on the deck of the boat, in the sun and near the water, is definitely a priceless experience 😀 Comfy bed, everything clean. Hot water under a clean shower 😌 I really like when "what you see is what you get" which is definitely the case for this wonderful boat.

Nobody's fault but... when you measure 1m90 like I do, you need to prepare to keep your head or legs tilted to move around in the boat 😅 There's a very friendly & social cat who enjoys sleeping on the veranda. I love cats but not everyone does, so it might be a good idea to discuss "who will sleep where" upon arrival. Obviously isolation on an old boat is not great during winter time, despite the performant heating. But we were very comfy and warm under the sheets. Overall these are minor points that are outweighed by the absolute charm of the boat. Thanks ! 🥰

The space we rented is the old living quarter of the skipper on a vintage barge, including the wheelhouse, which is turned into a pleasant comfortable veranda. There is a nice living room and an intimate, comfortable bedroom, so pleasant to stay in. The view over the Zaan canal, to the old city is charming. One can park the car just in front of the gangway, which is a plus. We came to the Netherlands, especially for this barge and we did like it as an experience. The owners were so pleasant to deal with, always reachable on the phone and so helpful during our stay. Thank you for the wonderful time!

Nothing could be better, as we had a fantastic stay. Guests must consider the facility is uncomfortable for people taller than 1,73 m (5 feet 8 inches) as the ceiling is low. Although the stairs leading to the living room were all right for us, they could be difficult for people with walking problems.

Really incredible place! I expected it to be a "neat gimmick" but actually everything about it was fantastic (including the gimmick). Slept well, very comfortable normal bed, good shower, kitchenette is fine for a few days, location is both convenient for both car (free parking directly at the boat) and public transport. Lots of stuff within walking distance. Quiet. The outdoor "terrace" on the top of the boat is an amazing spot for eating and just hanging out. Absolutely loved our stay and wish we had spent longer. Apparently it is comfortable and warm when in winter - and there is a modern connected gas radiator in the living area. Checkin was great. The woman who checked us in (Teddy’s … sister?) was very friendly and also brought us beers and some fresh fruit. Really an outstanding stay. I wish we had spent all 3 days of our trip to North Holland here!
