Monk Residence 27 - Stylish Old Town Retreat

Monk House is a fabulous residence. It’s in a quiet street in the old quarter yet close to the sea and town. It has been beautifully renovated to a high standard making brilliant use of space. The host Elvira was so helpful with recommendations and always contactable. I would love to return here some day. Highly recommended!

zeer goede locatie! dichtbij centrum en strand maar toch nog heel rustig gelegen, ideaal!

geen wc in de douche, beetje onhandig en geen nood aan 2de wc in het kleine gezellige huisje

Urednost odlična, lokacija odlična, ljubaznost i pomoć vlasnice odlična.

Sve je bilo odlično.

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja. Pięknie odnowiony zabytkowy dom. Perełka,odnowiona że smakiem. Urocza gospodyni, która odwiedziła nas w obiekcie i ugoscila poczęstunkiem. Wrócę z pewnością.

Uważam, że drabinka na antresolę powinna być przymocowana pod większym kontem.

Die Unterkunft ist super gelegen und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Elvira ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit

Teilweise etwas unpraktisch, der Aufstieg zum Einzelbett ist sehr steil und es ist relativ warm, hier und da fehlen Haken oder Ablagemöglichkeiten (z.B. in der Dusche für Duschgel), der Fernseher im Erdgeschoss hängt wirklich ungünstig ... das sind aber alles nur Kleinigkeiten :)

The very first thing that must be mentioned is definitely Elvira, our host. Her organization, kindness, and helpfulness were simply outstanding. She was always available, easy to reach, and truly went above and beyond for us. She even arranged a rental car for us – all we had to do was show up at the pick-up point and complete the paperwork, everything else was already taken care of by her. That was such a huge help! Elvira also organized our airport transfer, and we could completely trust her recommendation. The driver, Billy, is such a wonderful soul – funny, kind, and professional. We felt very safe during every ride with him. Before we got the rental car, he drove us anywhere we wanted to go, from one beach bar to another, and even gave us great tips along the way. Honestly, Elvira and the people she works with make a fantastic team you can absolutely rely on. Elvira also gave us great recommendations on where to enjoy authentic food with traditional Greek and Cretan music. She was always ready to assist and repeatedly offered her support for anything we might need. Honestly, Elvira was absolutely amazing. As for the location: it couldn’t be more central. Just a two-minute walk to the city center, with everything within walking distance. The accommodation itself was beautifully renovated, spotlessly clean, and very well maintained. Fresh towels, spotless dishes and cutlery, every drawer and every corner was sparkling clean. Upon arrival we were even welcomed with snacks, fresh fruit, water, and traditional Greek rusks – such a thoughtful touch! The beds were extremely comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly on both floors, the lighting was great, and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet.

The only small thing I personally missed (from woman to woman) was a full-length mirror. Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect – there is nothing at all to complain about.
