Traditionally soft Holiday Inn pillows

1. Hotel looked understaffed during breakfast, not enough hands to refill coffee, cook and bring orders on time. Employees looked hardworking, maybe management is cutting costs 2. They have 'free breakfast' notice on booking.com but it's actually vouchers that allow you to choose between several menu options. Don't expect buffet style like in other Holiday Inns. 3. For a room for 2 people get 2 breakfast vouchers. We paid for a room for 4 and received still 2 vouchers. The price was exactly twice higher, so we expected 4 vouchers. Turned out, we'd have to book 2 separate rooms for that. 4. When a lady at the breakfast counter politely explained the policy, she was as nice and helpful as possible. I asked to talk to the manager only so that he'd approve 2 more vouchers (that seemed easy & logical in our case) 5. The manager was aggressive from my first calm question if he would help us. He interrupted me every 2 seconds, then got irritated that I'm patiently trying to finish one sentence, and then he accused me for being rude. 6. In his words, Holiday Inn Zion is a franchise and he doesn't care about standards of service, or breakfast, or communication of Holiday Inn brand. I had to just sit down in humiliation until my heart stopped beating like crazy. We planned to extend our stay for another night right after breakfast, but obviously had to go elsewhere after such treatment.

The hotel was modern and clean with good lighting. The room was appropriately sized, even if not really spacious. I liked that they always had iced water available, places in the lounge to get together, a nice pool and hot tub, and good hotel gym. The surrounding views were nice, and it was close to a grocery store.

While I can do without a complimentary breakfast, especially for the price and location and good all around quality, a complimentary breakfast area would up the appeal; however, if the absence of this helps keep the price where it is, it is worth it. The grocery store and coffee shop nearby will give you options if needed.

The front desk staff was SO helpful and friendly. The room was incredibly clean and new. Stayed here while visiting Zion and it was a good location. Great stay for the price!
