"Wish it was as stated in the ad"

4.0

Property is situated in a nice location, it is pretty.

- states it has WiFi; on arrival welcome pack states WiFi is dodgy with a cute statement of “WiFi is a little temperamental but maybe use this as a time to switch off from the outside world”. If I wanted an unplugged location, I would have booked one. Some of us have to work and are on work trips, so WiFi at your accommodation is essential. If your WiFi is dodgy, which this property’s certainly was (couldn’t even take a teams message) state it in the advert! - if you’re dog friendly; I’d expect to find a dog bowl somewhere in the house… also, dogs not allowed on any of the furniture, which is not stated in the advert. Again, if you are truly dog friendly, how about stating these things as they will make guests make more informed decisions - private garden is shared with other properties, so therefore… not private. And dogs must be kept on leads at all times in the “private garden” load of nonsense. This is a shared garden and not really dog friendly. Dogs on lead around the rest of site, very reasonable, you have livestock, I appreciate that an under control dog is vital. However, don’t state a garden is both private and dog friendly when it is neither. - you state you have coffee making facilities, but no milk? I don’t mind, just say in the advert you have to bring your own milk. Little thing but damned annoying when anyone else stating coffee making facilities includes milk. - I’d also say, for the price, the shower and cooking facilities were very tired. I wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t for the bigger issues above but it I’d not say anything.

We found this property on Booking.com What we weren't told was that we would need to pay extra for use of the hot tub. Fortunately our host waived this hidden fee.

Unknown additional fee to use hot tub

Just back from a 2 day stay in Stone cottage, lovely place lots of land to let your dogs off for a good run, would be ideal for young kids with lambs, sheep and chickens roaming around and pigs and goats in their pens. Cottage was cute with all the amenities you need, extremely clean, comfy bed and quiet. They had a hot tub and pool and BBQ stations dotted around and host was lovely, nothing too much trouble. Would highly recommend. Only 18 minute drive into Bude.

The only downside was due to the quiet location the lanes leading to the property had a lot of potholes so take your time last few miles. Closest shop was a ten minute drive.
