The best part was the heated floor where the girls could lay down and draw in peace❤️

the water in the shower, just warm.... so if you stay for longer in the winter, I think this should be discussed

"It was ok but communication could have been better"

7.0

Location was good, very warm house, quiet.loved the donkeys and goats! Bedroom was cute, bathroom was nice.

Carpets had stains, only 2 mugs and 1 was chipped, no loo brush.no bottle opener in the kitchen. Dirty in areas, more shabby than chic. No communication from the host as to where the keys were.arrived in darkness, tried ringing but no answer. To top it off the main gate had been chained when we nipped out, if we didnt have a torch with us we wouldnt have had a hope of getting it open!

"The area in general is lovely to visit ."

4.0

There was no breakfast offered .the location was lovely and quiet.

The overall cleanliness of property was very poor i.e the fridge was filthy ,there was filth and cobwebs on the pans there were beans still in microwave from the last guests .The kitchen was very lacking in the basics. In fact the general cleanliness of the whole property was as though it hadn’t seen a clean in months. The accommodation is part of the main house which we new in advance but didn’t realise a doorway had just been covered up with a bit of ply with no sound proofing,so it felt as though the owners of the property was in the same room with there 3 children slamming doors .

"Was not value for money"

Lovely quiet position surrounded by farmland.

Noise from family adjoining the accommodation, slamming of doors, etc. Very basic kitchen utensils, no washup sponge or cloth. Dirty tiled floor, oven and worktop. Glass in shower not clean. No hangers in bedroom.

What a find! We wanted somewhere quiet to come and spend some quiet time together and hopefully see the meteor shower (which we did!). This cottage was perfect, quaint and cosy with a really comfortable bed and everything you need for a short stay. The owners were lovely and told us all about the animals, farm and the other places to stay on site. We had a lovely time exploring the grounds and found that the shop was only a 5 minute drive away which was perfect. Catherine did also pop her head into the sun room at one point to say she was going to the Co-op, could she pick anything up for us! She was also very helpful and friendly before we arrived, sending us clear instructions on how to get there and welcoming us when she saw us. This place had everything we needed for a quiet night away.

Unfortunately, it wasn't very clean. The carpets were thick with hair and dirt, and the surfaces weren't cleaned - the mugs still had tea scum around the tops of them. The fridge was very dirty. Very small thing, but the washing up liquid was practically empty and there were only 2 teabags in the pot. We realise that if we had asked for a few more, we probably would have been given them. It was okay for one night, but if you were staying for more than one the facilities could be better. Also, the bathroom door doesn't shut properly or have a lock and is a very low ceiling - my partner was reminded of this at 3am when he walked into the doorframe! Just something to be aware of if you are taller.
