Luxury, Central, Sun-Filled 3 Bed Haven in Bath

Excellent accomodation that suited our needs and location perfectly. Comfortable beds, nicely furnished and an amazing shower!

Unable to open some of the windows, and blind in the bathroom was broken. No toilet roll to be found on arrival!

Lovely property, with everything we needed. Plenty of room for a family of 6. Only 10 minute walk from Bath centre.

The owner did ask for £250 deposit incase of any damages but this was refunded after our stay.

Would have measured 10/10 on everything but we had trouble opening the wooden slash windows (could be user error) in the bedrooms. But we are in a heatwave so exceptional circumstances. But absolutely perfect otherwise.

The flat was in a prime location by Sydney Gardens. It was very sizeable with three bedrooms, full of character, with good views and well maintained by the owners. The shower/ wet room and bathtub were an added bonus, the lounge was comfortable for a family of four and only one flight of stairs to grapple with. Parking nearby (cricket ground) and a short walk into town. The hosts very amicable and quick to respond to our queries.

A tiny thing for tea drinkers was that the kettle needed descaling, but we were able to use the hob to boil water so didn’t feel it necessary to bother the owners. We were a last minute booking and it really didn’t affect our trip. We notified the host after and they will address. There was a coffee maker and a tea/coffee place just a few minutes walk away in the gardens.

Personally I prefer a firmer bed and pillow, but absolutely nothing wrong with the beds in this apartment. Could’ve done with basic instructions on how to manage the heating system and TV. Couldn’t find a clean wine glasses out of the dozen or so in the cupboard and needed to wash some before we could enjoy our wine. The dishwasher doesn’t always get those lipstick remnants off so all had ‘lip’ marks on them. No big deal but you (the host) might want to ask your cleaners to check that sort of thing. Ooh, and coasters for the tables to put wine glasses on. We did find some cork mats eventually and used those as coasters and dinner mats 😀😀

Nothing really, if being really picky maybe could do with a carpet clean and a few more things in the kitchen. Plenty of towels but a bit scratchy.

Lovely spacious property

Unfortunately we did not have a positive experience with the host. When we picked up the keys from the lockbox, they all looked rusty. We noticed that the front door key was slightly bent with a small crack in it and when we put it in the door it snapped. What was most frustrating was the the host did not answer to the phone number given and could only be reached by message. He messaged 2 hours later to say that he could not confirm whether a replacement key could be delivered. We finally heard later that evening that the new key would arrive in an hour, only to be told at 9pm that the keys would not be coming at all that day due to something urgent. I found it amazing that the host could leave us without front door keys and there was no one available to deliver a replacement. Luckily another resident was able to buzz us in on 3 occasions (we had 2 kids as well so it was really stressful). There was no update the following morning, so I had to message again and received a response at 11.30am to say the keys were coming in the next hour, which they finally did. I also called the general property management number twice and although they were polite, there was no follow up from them either.
