Southern Sands 104 2 Bedroom Condo by RedAwning

Southern Sands is a condo complex located with beach access. The walk to the beach is short, but in sand. There is no boardwalk to cross the dunes. Potential guests who have difficulty walking may want to consider possible problems in getting to the beach. For a beach stay, it is affordable. However, it is not an especially nice place. The building itself needs maintenance and the room was outdated and could use more comfortable bedding and furniture. The rental company was excellent. Although we never spoke to a single person, the automated check in process was smooth and effortless. My main concern that needs to be addressed is of a "maintenance" man entering the locked room when my wife was in the room by herself. She did not hear a knock. He entered and asked if there was any damage from a bad storm the night before. From another room, she said no. He left. Because of this alone, I will not bring my family back to Southern Sands. For a first trip to Gulf Shores, we had a great time when not considering the condo.
