Too many odd stairs. Easy to slip on the carpeted stairs. Needed an upstairs bathroom. Not really suitable for older couples

We had a great long weekend at The Neuk. Initially I was a bit worried about the low number of reviews, but the rental is brand new (June 2024) and deserves getting more attention. Getting the keys in the lockbox worked easily, allowed us for a very flexible check-in (as we were already doing visits on the day we arrived). We found a nice, clean and well furnished house that was perfectly suited for the three of us. Its location is perfect, on a relatively quiet road. We enjoyed visiting St Andrews, walking a part of the Fife Coastal Path, doing some hiking in the Lomond Hills. We didn't use a lot of the appliances, as we were there only for a short stay, but we found everything we needed.
Tiny detail: we didn't find the bathtub mat until the last day. We should have searched better, as the tub was quite slippery. Could be more visible, but that's really a detail, and partly our fault for not looking around.

The property had absolutely everything we needed. The beds were very comfy, lush fresh towels, kitchen was great and the bathroom felt like we were at a spa. We loved the location because it was so close to St Andrews, but far enough away from all the Hurley Burley of the town. Clearly this property has been newly renovated & we truly need enjoyed every moment we spent there. It was also very quiet which we really appreciate.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
