Vela Latina, a villa to enjoy!

Exceptional Villa Experience with Minor Details to Perfect We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Vella Latina with a group of eight, though the villa comfortably accommodates up to twelve guests, making it ideal for larger families or groups. The property is spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, providing a comfortable and stylish retreat. The outdoor amenities are outstanding, featuring both a small and larger pool, as well as a hot tub—perfect for relaxation and enjoying the tranquil surroundings in privacy. The villa is well-equipped with all essentials, including toilet rolls, washing facilities, and cleaning supplies, which made settling in effortless. The location offers a peaceful atmosphere while still being conveniently close to the beaches, restaurants, and amenities of Costa Overall, Vella Latina provided a true home-away-from-home experience, and we would gladly return. These minor points aside, it remains an excellent choice for anyone seeking a spacious, well-appointed villa in Lanzarote.

There were a few minor maintenance issues—a toilet that could benefit from tightening, a kitchen tap that felt fragile, and pool area tiles that would benefit from a thorough cleaning. However, these did not impact our enjoyment or comfort during the stay and are small details that could enhance an already exceptional property.

Vela Latina is exactly as described and more! It ticks all the boxes you could wish for in a holiday Villa. It is in a quiet neighbourhood and only a short walk to cafes, supermarket and shops with a further 3 minute stroll to the nearest beach. Just perfect!

Nothing to dislike!

The villa is in a great location far enough away from the town centre to provide peace and quiet, yet an easy walk to the bars, restaurants, supermarket and beach. Supermarket is 5 minutes walk, beach around 10-12 minutes. The pool, paddling pool & hot tub were a huge hit, especially with the 5 kids in our group. The villa is a fantastic size with generously proportioned rooms. The two downstairs bedrooms (one en-suite double room & one with 2 single beds, each with an additional pull out trundle bed underneath so sleeping up to 4) have an interconnecting door which is useful for families. There is plenty of outdoor tables & chairs to eat outside and make good use of the built-in barbecue. Sun loungers with cushions are also provided around the pool area. Two of the upper bedrooms also have their own roof terraces with tables and sun loungers. They would be lovely spot if anyone wanted some peace away from the family group for a while! There is also a large dining table inside for sociable mealtimes, as well as 3 large sofas in the lounge area.

Some areas felt a little tired in places although no major issues, for example, rusting to end of bath, shower head could do with replacing, pool net broken, toilets not particularly securely fixed to walls, light bulbs not all working. In a few rooms there were tables with lamps on, but no plug sockets for them to be used. The pool could have been cleaner and had some bits that needed clearing from the bottom. We had ants in the kitchen a few times during the week. I assume this is a known problem as there was a spray in the cupboard which worked well. Anything sweet had to be kept in the fridge or microwave or they’d attract ants as we learned a few times when we had to throw things away as they were swarming with them. Suggestion: some pegs for using on the provided clothes airers would have been helpful for securing clothes/towels in the Lanzarote breeze. A welcome pack detailing nearest supermarkets, taxis, takeaways/deliveries would have been useful, especially when we arrived fairly late on our first day as no just needed to feed kids quickly and grab a few essentials for the morning. A password or QR code for the wifi would also be handy in a welcome pack as the password given by the host didn’t work but we got online using the code on the router instead. Worth noting for families with young children and/or guests with additional needs: the 3 large sliding doors into the back garden (2 from the lounge/diner and 1 from the quadruple bedroom) do not have a key lock so children could potentially use the integrated sliding lock get out to where the pools are. For my group none of the above excessively detracted from our holiday. Personally I would happily stay at Vela Latina again if we visited the area again as it’s pools and outdoor space kept the 5 kids in our group so happy (and therefore kept the 4 grown ups happy & relaxed too!).

Excellent location with easy walking distance to supermarkets, shops, beach and restaurant. Everything was in the villa as promised and we al loved it. There are a few maintenance / simple building fixes that could be completed in a day to make the property outstanding. I can send this list of suggestions separately if you'd like.

The villa is lovely, very spacious. Having a small splash pool for young kids was an added bonus. The hot tub is also great as we travelled in february so it can get cold. Requested a very late check out, and it was provided free. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives.

The pool surrounding area and sunbeds were very dirty. Contacted the host about it and didn't get a response. The pool itself was clean. There were no pool towels. The toiletries were unlabelled, so didn't know what they actually were. The villa could also do with maybe an information pack on location, how things worked etc

The Villa is a very well kept clean and tidy place i Cannot Fault anything with the Villa nor the Host when we did have an issue Elisa was very quick to help we are already planning our next visit and would only look at hiring this villa again. the location was spot on very near to al amenities the pool was clean and warm the hot tub was always warm. attention to detail has been put in this villa the kitchen is well equipped and all bedrooms were clean and tidy
