Caravelas 2-Bedroom Apartment with Pool - 50m from the Beach

The apartment was lovely and modern and in a very convenient location within Armação. The managing agents were easily contactable and responded quickly to any queries. The kitchen was well-equipped with ample cutlery and crockery, and there was an oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine, with instructions provided. The beds were comfortable.

When we arrived, the apartment was quite clean, the beds were lovely and fresh and there were ample towels provided. However, during our extended stay, the quality of the cleaning for two out of three remaining weeks was poor. Once, when we were still in the property when the cleaners arrived, they carried out a thorough clean, but on the two times that we were not at the property, the cleaners did not vacuum, mop or dust, or clean the kitchen surfaces or basins; they only replaced the bedding and towels. This would not be a problem for shorter stays, as I would say the initial clean is of a much higher standard. The location was slightly noisy.

we chose this apartment because it had a secure parking space underground where others in the area didn’t and being a busy location I would not like to have to find parking on street each day. The apartment itself was clean, and well maintained (actually everything seemed new or recently replaced). It was decorated nicely and made to feel homely with scatter cushions and ornaments. Kitchen fully stocked with cutlery and kitchenware. bathrooms nice and new, good quality towels. soft curtains to see out with heavy storm shutters for blocking out daylight when needed. overall, this was a lovely apartment and we would come back to stay again. we did stay out of season so I do not know what the area is like in season. we truly self catered as we were not there for an ‘eat out each night social holiday’. our trip was for a different purpose and the apartment was great for this. we were able to feel like we were home from home. on the last night we did eat out and found a lovely restaurant just 2min walk from apartment. it’s on the beach and I would recommend. it’s called Palm beach restaurant. they offer Italian dishes, seafood and steak. prawns were lovely.
