Shower and bathroom terrible room ok

Location

Everything was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was also a comfortable space in the dining room where we could eat. Mike was very helpful, friendly and responsive. He even proposed we could use an additional room that was free at the time. The location is great too as it is near the stadium and well connected with the city center. We definitely will go back again when we come for the next match.

I had some trouble with adjusting the water temperature but maybe it's just because I'm used to different type of the mixer tap. Some additional instructions on how to lock the front door would be useful as you have to move the handle up a little (but again, I'm probably just used to something different and this is obvious for most people 😅)

Location is excellent, less than 10 minutes to the stadium

We had an awful stay, hard for the owners as it was the other people staying that made it so bad…… a group of lads were staying, they’d had a big fight whilst out, came back in a proper state at around 1 in the morning and for the next 90 minutes all we could hear was how busted one of their shoulders was, how one had his head down the toilet and how two of them had been knocked out. I didn’t realise at the time but my 11 year old was awake and so heard most of it. He was scared but didn’t want to wake me (yet I was awake). To be fair to the owners they did something about it once reported and the lads left soon after (threat of the police). Aside from that, the actual house needs investment. The room we stayed in had cables and an extension lead hanging down from the wall. I pointed out a simple cable tidy would do it., the duvets were lumpy and the bedsheets were badly fitting. No carpets either so you hear every step/creak. The bathroom also could do with investment as it’s just properly tired, taps move when you turn them, cracks in the sink. The shower rail too is grubby. Needs a new bathroom really. Now I’m advised none of this has ever been highlighted before which does surprise me and I now wish I had taken pictures. Perhaps the owner could post some close ups of what’s been described if they’re in disagreement with anything. I genuinely don’t normally write such reviews but we had such a bad time and the owners response was to allow us to stay there longer past 10am! We’d had enough by then….. so we’re out and up at the stadium by then!
