Queens Large 2 BDR & 1 BDR Apartments by Belfast City Breaks

Good location

They requested a £100 deposit from us and it has been over a month since we’ve visited and they are ignoring our calls and texts and booking.com trying to track down our returns. We left the place exactly as we found it and are very respectable guests. The property was ok but there was a broken window that wouldn’t close properly so we could hear all the traffic in the bedroom. The back yard was awful and full of rubbish. Additionally, we had booked a different apartment but they moved us they said due to a death on a recent stay (understandable). I had also been trying to reach the landlord before our stay to ask the exact address and check in details and received nothing back until 1 hour before check in which unsettled me.

Clean comfortable stay.

Entrance hallway dirty and full of jumble. No one clearly takes any pride in the communal entrance. Stains marks and burns on the carpets. I still have NOT HAD MY £100 DEPOSIT REFUNDED.

Lovely apartment. A few minor issues on arrival but everything sorted almost immediately.

The bed was very soft but I guess that is a personal preference

The location is unbeatable! Queens is beautiful and only a mile or two from anything in city center!

The mattress was a little meh but did the job! There were not a ton of supplies to the place (no shampoo or conditioner).

The day we were due to stay in Belfast, the property we booked wasn’t available due to a water leak, we were offered an alternative property but the location was unsuitable for our needs, we had to settle for 2 1 bed apartments which were just ok, in the apartment I stayed in there was a water leak from an upstairs apartment, this apartment didn’t have smoke detector or an emergency sign in the living area

Easy to park nearby.Good shower.well equppied kitchenette. Very helpful & friendly response from Belfast City Breaks staff member when keys missing from key box on arrival.

Not a brilliant view (derelict house and pigeons)Could do with a fan in hot weather maybe.WIFI bit unreliable/slow.Cleaner hadnt swept or hoovered between bed and bedside tables lately.

Nice looking apartment (if you don’t look too closely) and in a good location for the university quarter.

If this was charging £70 a night I probably wouldn’t have rated this as low but at over £100/night these things added up. Note there are numerous flats at this property so this could be specific to the one we had. However point 1 is a big enough issue. 1) I had to chase them numerous times to get the deposit back. Even finding out how they will repay it took several messages. Had to involve customer services before they paid (there was no dispute or damage - they just held on to the money - be warned). 2) WiFi was terrible - initially wasn’t working at all which they did “fix” quickly but the flat we were in (flat 5 I believe) had such poor reception it might as well not have been there - could not watch TV which was WiFi reliant 3) tiny bathroom with toilet barely giving enough leg room 4) lack of sockets in kitchen - to use the toaster you have to put it on the hob or the kitchen table to reach a socket. The microwave is in an overhead cupboard and not plugged in so you would have to lift it out and again put it somewhere award to plug it in. Also There were no tea towels or a draining rack. 5) this may have been a one off but there was a flock of pigeons and seagulls living in the derelict building next door which made an incredible noise from about 4am. 6) one night (3am?) an alarm was going off downstairs for a long time - apparently not a fire alarm but some sort of door alarm. 7) some fixtures just looking untidy like a corner table not connected to the wall with a defunct cable attached to it - just a bit untidy for something at this price point. 8) very old springy mattress.

Neat studio with kitchen and laundry. Good provision of utilities. Flexibility in check in as soon as cleaning is done.

Bathroom is but too small with heating rail against toilet seat. Bed too soft not much support. Lacking luggage storage for early check out given it is a big house.

decent location close to the Botanic Gardens. couple of restaurants just nearby.

Property was quite a small studio (not a one bedroom flat). Bathroom was tiny. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. Only one comfortable chair.
