Host & Stay - Cinnamon Cottage

Really nice decor and a perfect location for what we needed.

The back yard was very substandard. It was very uninviting and full of huge weeds. I could be made a lot better for residence with very little cost

The quality of finish is exceptional. It feels luxurious; the gold in the bathroom underlines this particular aim. Plenty of sockets located close to bed which very important for my requirements. Comfortable bed. Nice courtyard area to sit outside,weather permitting. TV simple to use and provided a range of options. Location is very central and easy to access high street.

On-street parking not really an option without blocking traffic. Ware Street is very narrow, so although you can unload car outside property, I’d recommend the long stay parking which is close by and only £1.60 for 24 hours. There was no data signal inside, I had to go to courtyard to use phone. However, in fairness, there was probably wi-fi available but I didn’t bother to check. The nature of my stay meant I wasn’t going to be using the cottage for much other than bathing and sleeping.

Great location in town centre close to shops and places to eat and drink. Cottage was lovely, very clean, decorated really nice. Had all amenities for our stay

Court yard was ok and we had great weather but small table and chairs and bench were really uncomfortable. Think to make this cottage perfect need to tidy it up and have some better seating. It is a perfect sun trap great for outdoor eating.

The property was really well presented and comfortable. No problems at all with the property itself.

The letting agency that handles this property is terrible. They took my booking as an opportunity to market stuff at me again and again through booking.com messages. It got ridiculous. They also have a very suspicious looking payment method - there are literally articles that you can find online easily that say what they use as their payment method is the method favoured by scammers.

Two comments 1. The stairs needs a handrail as the stairs quite steep, for old folk & young Children 2. Unfortunately, our wives didn’t have a day out on the Saturday, as we had split the keys off the key ring enable us to out fishing, we took one of the keys of the ring, thinking That we had left the other front door key behind, as they could not the lock the front door, meant our wives had to stay in as they couldn’t lock the house up. The other key was for back yard, noticing the back wall had opening had been blocked up, they didn’t go out into the back yard, only on Sunday we found there is a door. If the keys had been marked as such, that may have a different outcome for their day, you can’t see the back door from the kitchen window. Can you suggest having two front doors keys, then it wouldn’t happen to any other guests or couples, staying at the house.

Excessive messages, 20 odd messages from the host, some were the same repeated waiver form that I had completed twice. The payment method was not clear. They messaged multiple times to request payment with no way of me actually doing so until I messaged the second time, and they eventually sent me an invoice.
