Friendly welcoming people, some thoughtful touches with maps, information etc. Comfortable couch. Restful break, despite the weather. Nice setting.

Soundproofing not great given construction of the lodge, but not an issue. We were aware of others, but not intrusive.

Nice peaceful area. Lodge was as described small cosy/ compact

The kitchen units are a little outdated / old fashioned Cupboard doors didn’t meet flush like they should have and the kickboards looked tacky with paint flaking off them .could be doing with being up dated . Outdated/ old fashioned carpet in the lounge / kitchen area could do with a new modern carpet. Missing carpet stripe missing was a bit of a trip hazard. Has a really strange electrical meter with a token you have to put in and you have to pay for electric in advance as well. Could do with a new electric up to date modern meter

Location was first class, lodge was lovely, maybe a bit dated ,but I know they are in the throes of renovations, I’m sure they will be lovely when complete, it won’t put me off returning, so peaceful and the owners are lovely to, nothing is a problem to them.

Can honestly say…there was nothing I didn’t like…except…the midges…lol…
