I booked about a month early. I received a call 2days before the day that the unit I booked was under renovations and that I would be moved into a different unit with the same amenities which I understood and was not a problem. I arrived very late around 23:00 as discussed and I was given a wrong unit. With all the luggage I was up and down in the complex, eventually I settled which I understood, these things happen. On Sunday i asked if there was a way they could extend my checkout time as I got a late flight to Johannesburg on Monday. Not that they were forced to do anything but a no would have been better than the help I was offered. Instead of checking out at 11 i could check out at 12 and pay R200 which I then said it’s okay I will checkout normal time. Following that I am told neighbours downstairs are complaining of the noise coming from our unit which was such a shocker as I was out and my partner sleeping since 3pm and woke up around 8 when I got back. Only God knows whether the drama was from the neighbour or from the owner. Monday morning I get a friendly reminder of checkout at 10:00 to allow the cleaner time to clean. I asked isn’t checkout 11. I tired to call and apparently owner was in a meeting. I got a response to say, it’s okay you can use 11. Now the disappointing part is that, I’m told “I am letting you checkout at 11” As if you are doing me a favor. Then I’m told on Airbnb I have checkout correctly at 10 just on bookings I see it’s 11. How to improve; Other arguments are unnecessary especially when dealing with customers. Explaining what Airbnb is saying and Bookings is not necessary because by right that’s your admin that you not looking after, now you argue to prove a point. You just apologies and move on. You also can’t be spiteful to your customers
