Apartment 44 Citygate Sleeps 4

Lovely flat, really close to the centre of York. Thoroughly recommended.

We were a family of four. The main bedroom and bed was wonderful. However, the settee wasn't a genuine couch bed, which made it less comfortable for our children.

Location, early key entry, cleanliness, Christmas Tree was a nice touch

Apartment was freezing the whole 48hour stay and x2 tiny perimeter radiators do not heat the void when the ambient is low (was around 3 degrees), It didn't warm up at all we slept fully dressed, one rad has a sofa in front of it defeating the object of radiant heat. Not enough pillows and bedding for x4 adults, not enough toilet roll (but feedback was that it is starter items only - this is a new one on me supplying my own toilet roll in a £80 pp x3 pn x2 apartment!), Be warned, the sofa bed is mis-leading. It is not a sprung sofa bed for x2 adults, it has an unpadded hard pull out that fills the L shape and no mattress enhancer/topper is supplied. it is unfairly advertised as a bed. At best this apartment should be x2 adults as a couple and x1 child on the 'sofa bed' for all around comfort. Because this was paid in good faith, in full in advance we were hasten to start complaining and draw out our family stay. However, if I was going to pay the bill in part or full at the end of the stay I would have complained heavily or cancelled the second night. I gave honest, fair, costructive feedback when asked and the response has been written in chat gpt and couldn't be more patronising if it tried to be. Perfect apartment for a couple or small family but definately not suited for x2 couples or x4 adults.
