Hoang Phuc Home - Hotel Cat Ba

The location was good and it was silent. Breakfast service was okay.

Room wasn't good. TV switching on by itself and the lights were flashing. And we found rat shit and the blood stains in the bed, so it wasn't so clean.

Our stay here was the best in Cat Ba. 🙏🏼 We stayed at three different places during our time in Cat Ba and Huang Phuc was by far the best experience! The host was so helpful and welcoming ☺️ we stayed for a week and got upgrades to our previously booked room. Our final room had a beautiful Mountain View and we loved watching the goats climbing around the mountain 😁 The host was always there to help even in the middle of the night! His hospitality did not stop, even after we checked out ☺️ Whenever we needed help regarding a tour or the bus to Hanoi, he helped us without a question and went out of his way helping us with the luggage and everything. This Host is just amazing and a really great person, we would definitely come back anytime ❤️ Thank you so much for making our stay in Cat Ba something special 🙏🏼

Very nice place with excellent value. Staff were helpful and friendly, and it was easy to arrange things like tours and onward travel at what seem to be very competitive prices. The free breakfast was also great.

None of the following affects the high rating, but maybe useful to note: - There's some kind of meeting/reception area on the 7th floor that can get noisy, so it may be best to avoid the 6th floor if you prefer a quiet room. - Sometimes in the morning you may have to ask the reception to turn on the hot water. I guess it's turned off periodically to save on energy, which no doubt helps keep the prices so low. So it's a reasonable tradeoff, just something to be aware of.

We spent 11 days in the Hotel, and we really enjoyed our time there. The breakfast is good, the staff is friendly and helpful, the room is nice and clean. The bonus is the location, there are so many good and cheap restaurants, cafes, convenient stores and the most beautiful beaches are in walking distance. This accomodation is definitely a gift for this price.

Very cheap and really nice staff! I had 2 double beds just to myself and there was free breakfast.

There was a cockroach in my closet.. otherwise it was rather clean, so maybe it was just a bad coincidence.

The staff were LOVELY!! Someone always at reception who gave me info on boat tours and what to do with my days. It’s an amazing hotel for the value, highly recommend

The only thing I will say is the floor can get wet when you have a shower, I couldn’t go in without shoes on but apart from that it was excellent!
