Thorbecke Canal View

Facing the canal across from the old town. Lovely room, stocked with refreshments and breakfast items, very clean, a gem.

No air conditioner but the fan was welcome.

I booked this room by accident and arrived at 11:30 at night. I called the landlord in advance and told him that I would be arriving late, even though I knew it was by the river, and was very surprised when I arrived at midnight, with the moonlight reflecting in the river, the local young man were talking and singing very loudly in the neighbourhood, at about 12 o'clock they left to quieten down, the room is Dutch style and surprisingly our leader Chairman Mao was hanging on the wall, I wonder if the landlord is aware that, it’s not bad. The landlord was very responsible and I regret not waking up early to walk around the neighbourhood and parking by the river was free. Would highly recommend this room!

Some people commented on the simplicity of the breakfast and the fact that you can make a bowl of cereal when you arrive in the middle of the night is very satisfying, I chose this place because I wanted to experience the local environment and not for a big meal.

Beautiful large ground floor studio style apartment. Well stocked self serve breakfast. Great location on the canal, with view of old city wall, basically in the city centre. Clear communication with owner who lives upstairs

The breakfast was amazing, got a lot of different options! The place was very nice, clean and lovely location across the water. We enjoyed our stay there!
