The Valley Khao Yai-2 Bed Room

Location and room space

It needs maintenance. Water heater doesn’t work, faucet at wash basin spread water everywhere, aircon has water drop, need light bulb change in the shower, towels are old. You have to carry your own luggages.

Location is very good on the edge of the Khao Yai national park

There were no facilities associated with the apartments. Fortunately, the next door hotel had a wonderfully helpful receptionist called Knot who advised us where we could eat, called taxis for us, booked a tour of the park and even called a shop to check whether they could take ID photos of us for our onward visas. If it wasn’t for the next door hotel and Knot going above and beyond to take care of us we would have felt completely abandoned as there seemed to be no other guests staying at the apartments, no staff and in fact we suspected, having read a notice stuck to a wall near the entrance, that tourists were not allowed to stay at the apartments.

Value for the rate charged.

Big bed big room

Big spacious flat with a nice pool set in green environment. Easy parking. Most tourist activities within a 30 minute drive.

Lack of communication: hard to get in touch with host and did not get check-in info proactively. Also slow to respond during stay. Food options are somewhat limited and a bit out of the way, but we knew that. No cleaning service offered but also nothing provided to clean ourselves (a broom etc.).
